Broadway Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Saint Paul Park

A buddy of mine who works at the Saint Paul Park refinery has been trying to get me to Broadway for quite sometime now. Finally was able to make it over there and I was pleasantly surprised.

Let me add this... I live in South Saint Paul and I rarely venture out of my comfort zone of SSP but I do enjoy finding a good burger/dive joint every now and again.

Burger was great (I had the Broadway burger, next time I will be trying the Cajun burger)

*Staff - great (Our server was Josie! And I have to say she was very patient and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs). My girlfriend and I are on a low carb diet so when we checked out Broadway I did a burger without the bun, we did side salads and Josie made sure no croutons were in the side salad which my gf and I always forget to say "please leave out the croutons". Even the owner came over to chat with us, (I believe his name is Ray) got us a rounds on the house.

AND.... we don't really play a bunch of pull tabs but the GF wanted to play. She put $40 in and we won like $400.00. Lol we never win that much. (This part doesn't really have anything to do with the review but I just had to add it lol)

So long story longer, our 1st time at Broadway was very memorable. We will DEFINETELY be back. I will gladly come out of my comfort zone for BROADWAY...

I'd driven past here many times and never gone in. I thought I'd finally try it. And man, I'm mad at myself for not doing it sooner.

The atmosphere is low key, no pressure. Just easy to find a seat and relax.

Our server was top notch. When we explained that we had never been there, she was more than happy to answer any questions and also make suggestions. Plus, she was on the ball for coming back and checking on us. Not the every "five seconds" where you become frustrated. Nope, she was great.

The Broadway Burger with Cajun fries was awesome and we really enjoyed it. Everything was cooked just perfect, not over or under done. Just right. The Cajun fries were delicious and had that perfect amount of zip.

The prices are beyond reasonable. There's nothing worse than leaving a place and feeling like you were robbed. Not here. Very reasonable prices.

So i ordered carryout from this place. And wasn't given a total. I went on to their website and put in the order to get a price. It came to $30, almost exactly. I went in and was told it was $40. There was no breakdown or details on the receipt. I asked her before I paid about the difference. She said that I should order off online next time if I want them prices. Maybe prices have changed and not been updated. But she still should have gave me the online price. I could have easily canceled the order and reordered it online. And they would have had to make it twice. I would have got the price where it should have been, and they would only have to make it once. But the attitude I got, I just took the hit and won't be back. Food was meh. Not horrible, not great, just kinda meh. Not just saying that because they ripped me off. Tater tots and fries were...
