I am only rating this a one-star not because of the food or the service but because of the experience I had. 11/1/25 I came in with my girlfriend to have breakfast and met a delightful senior woman with a walker and having a great conversation when some woman came over and told her to stop talking to us (we will call her the Interrupter for now on)and that "someone," insinuating owners or management didn't want her talking to the customers and then she should just sit and wait for her food. I was so upset! It was a wonderful conversation we were having and we were not bothered at all. The woman was clearly lonely. I was brought to tears and was shaking because I was just so upset with the way the interrupter made the senior woman feel like nothing. I told the interrupter that it was fine and we were having a good conversation and that she ruined our meal and that we were going to leave because it was just so heartbreaking. I then informed my server that I wanted to pay for the senior woman's meal and she said that somebody had paid for ours. The interrupter apologized, the damage had been done and she had made the woman feel like she was unworthy to be seen and talked to and that was heartbreaking. I hope that whoever it is that didn't want this woman talking to their customers gets a clue and talks to whoever the interrupter was and tells them to butt out as I feel she is a regular who thought she had authority to say something. I hope I get a response to this review. Interrupter, I hope you have the day you deserve! Park cafe, I love your pancakes! This is my son's review as he hasn't ever...
Read moreHoly smokes...... I have attempted to eat at this restaurant twice in the past month... the first time I took my parents out and the woman on the phone lied to my girlfriend that they were not busy... we live maybe 6 minutes away, when we got there the wait was 45 minutes.... Second attempt was today, they don't do reservations ok fine, we arrive and no one acknowledges us standing there waiting for anything, the hostess shouts past us to customers in their booth. We then hear the hostess take a call and tell the person on the phone "no we aren't busy." The same line we got the first time. Meanwhile there are three tables, two of which need cleaning. They were certainly to busy to acknowledge the two human beings standing there waiting for service. We stood there for easily 15 minutes before walking out to go elsewhere. After those two experiences I will take my business elsewhere and recommend to as many as I...
Read moreWhile it might be a 'greasy spoon' diner, the place was a little too greasy for us. We watched a hostess wipe a table full of food scraps onto the floor. We waited about 20 minutes for our food for a table of four, which was all breakfast food. The omelettes we ordered were just okay-eggs were thin, cheese barely melted. The best plate at the table was my son's french toast and freshly cooked bacon. Speaking of bacon, I ordered a side of it with my omelette--it came out hard as a board, clearly reheated in the microwave from the previous day. My other son ordered chocolate milk, which I requested be brought out with the food... So I reminded the waitress that he was waiting for it (for twenty minutes), to which she replied "You asked to have it brought out with the food--he couldn't have been waiting very long!" 🙄 All in all, the performance didn't live up to...
