Bread & Chocolate — Restaurant in Saint Paul

Typically, a 4 or 5 Star for service, sweets & lunch. Unfortunately, NOT TODAY!!! The male, who was working with a Very Pleasant female, was not happy about his job of being on the sandwich line. The poor elderly woman in front of us asked for 1/2 egg salad, he began making a full, B4 she reiterate 1/2. The egg salad fell onto the counter and condiment bar, he took his fingers, scooped it up and asked if she wanted veggies, Gross, Really? I was relieved to get the female, she prepared my peninni like it was hers w/ a nice side salad & Red Pepper sauce, my friend was not so fortunate, he got the guy, his sandwich was a mess, oozing with gobs of mayo and mustard, thrown on glob style! To add insult to injury, the person waiting on me had to ask my friend if he wanted a side salad and red pepper sauce, the guy, totallyspaced out and movedon to slopping the next guests lunch together.. The guy woke up and threw the side salad together w/ the wrong dressing, OMG, Ugh, Get that guy off the customer service line...FAST!!! Worst part, there were only 5 people in line, including the two of us, so what was the reason for the Hasty...

Good morning. I placed an order online for it to be ready at 9:46. Unfortunately, it wasn't ready until 10:05. it wasn’t even started until I arrived at 10 o’clock.The staff member, whose name I believe is Edcardo, did not apologize for the delay. Instead, he smiled and responded with a dismissive, “It’s okay, ma’am.” When I requested the manager’s contact information, he refused to provide it, despite claiming he would share an email address with me. When I pointed out the inappropriateness of his lack of professional courtesy, he insultingly referred to me as a child.

He then interrupted me when I tried to speak to another employee, and again called me a child when I addressed his behavior. I informed him that his conduct was very unprofessional, and I believe he should no longer be employed there. Such behavior is detrimental to your business and will drive customers away. I frequent your establishment regularly and intend to share this experience with my colleagues. If Edcardo is present during my next visit, I will not reconsider returning.

The bakery offers a variety of different desserts ranging from simplistic yet delicious cookies to wild magic bars. This is a wonderful place that is worthwhile to come to with the family, on a date, or simply for a treat for one. Another grand benefit that adds onto their large selection of treats and beverages, Bread and Chocolate also serves handcrafted sandwiches that can be customized to the customers liking. I always enjoy my experience here; the aroma is pleasant and it is a nice place to relax at or explore around for part of the day. The service here is always amazing- the servers are very helpful and kind. I am always greeted with a smile. On top of that, the servers are phenomenal at suggesting treats or beverages. There are many stores within a short walking distance nearby Bread and Chocolate, many of which offer many unique items that are fun to simply look at or bring home.
