Wow, if you haven't tried this gem, you're missing out. Carbones Pizza on Randolph is family owned and shouldn't be confused with the chain Carbone's. On Saturday I was hungry for pizza and realized we hadn't been to Carbone's in nearly 15 years. We used to go often when we lived nearby. That settled our decision to see if it was as good as we remembered. We sat down and a server was at our table about 1 minute later asking if we would like anything to drink or had any questions. We ordered the Italian cheese bread with sauce as an appetizer and a 14 "thin crust pepperoni pizza. My husband also had a Surly Furious. The cheese bread ... Oh yum. So much cheese! No, really- they do not skimp on the cheese here. The homemade marinara sauce has a wonderful tangy bite to it. Really delicious. Our pizza came out just after we finished up our appetizer. It was divine. Why? The pepperoni had flavor and wasn't soggy, there was a mild kick to the pizza- not spicy, just a nice zip that hits your tongue and is so so perfectly right, and again there is a wonderful amount of cheese. Oh, it's also cut in squares which is awesome. Service was fabulous and friendly, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the food was outstanding. Accessibility: Be aware that parking is limited. If you're in a wheelchair, try to get dropped off at the alley near the little parking lot if traffic allows so there's room for your chair to exit. Seating is excellent for wheelchairs. The tables are fully open underneath so even rigid wheelchairs with fixed footplates can pull fully in. There is room to navigate the restaurant in a wheelchair. I didn't go into the bathroom in my chair so can't comment on that. I was able to get in the main door in my chair but there is signage leading wheelchairs to the secondary door which did look easier to navigate. It is about 20 feet from the first.

I had taken more photos but they're not here I had ordered the antipasto salad there was one slice of salami cut into four and one slice of cheese cut into four on a bed of lettuce but the ingredients were fresh. I also ordered garlic cheese toast which was not toasty at all quite soggy and a milk my friend ordered the p e n n e and a Mr Pibb I asked for it all to be delivered at one time the waitress agreed Well my milk was brought out immediately if you minutes later out came my garlic bread then my salad a few minutes later my friends dinner I did not drink my milk I wanted it with my meal and it was warm by the time I got my meal so all three times when three different people came over to ask how things were my mouth was full of salad and I could not respond and my friend said good needless to say by the end of the night when we paid our bill and we're ready to leave nobody had asked if there was anything wrong with the milk there it's at as we walked out the door I love Carbone Pizza especially there's Pizza sandwich but they do not have a pizza sandwich at the Carbone's we were at kind of disappointing but anyways I'm very disappointed in this one and I will not return second time we've went I held off my first review because it wasn't a very good one either but this is twice now.

Hospitality was wonderful. It wasn’t crowded on a weeknight around dinner time. Sat at the bar and was promptly served the entire night. Meatball appetizer - 3 meatballs with sauce and a loaf of garlic bread. These were good but meatballs were tough and you’ll be tasting the garlic for hours afterwards. Meatballs are my favorite but the reflux I got from therse will be a no-go in the future. This typically happens when the sauce is on the more acidic side. Side salad - the Italian dressing was delicious. Wish I had ordered a full salad entree. 4 meat pizza was good, it’s Sota style but had good flavor and amount of toppings were a good value.

We walked in and we were greeted with a, "Hello, how are you today?" But were confused because another women had walked in at the same time as us. When she rushed into the back I realized it was us we were being talked to. Anyway, we weren't offered a seat so we found our own. The server, "Chey" seemed surprised. She didn't tell us what her name was and the only thing she offered us was something to drink, to make our order, crushed pepper and Parmesan and would we like a take out bag. We waited FOREVER for her to finally realize we were done eating. My water glass was never filled up from the first time but anyway, I wanted to try the spumoni ice cream but she assumed we were done eating and just gave us our receipt. This is how I found out her name was Chey. We waited around for a while not sure if we paid up front or was suppose to wait for the waiter. This lady asked us how the food was, opened up her hands to get the money (without telling us our total or change) gave us our change silently and then said, "thanks" as we left. The food is okay but the...
