COOK DOOR GRILL & CHILL — Restaurant in Saint Paul

I wanted to try something new so I ordered off them on Ubereats. Bought the "Ten Pieces Whole Wings(fried) with Fries, Coleslaw, bread" and a piece of cake.

The chicken was super grossly oversalted :( Which is coming from someone who loves salty foods. I honestly couldn't eat more than a few pieces without feeling sick it was so overwhelming. Something else seemed "off" about it but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe the chicken was refried like other people have said.

Fries were good. Typical fries, nothing wrong there.

Bread was.. well I was expecting something like Raising Canes, a unique little piece of toast. Instead it was just.. well, bread. Plain sandwich bread. Two pieces. Idk???

The cake was a little on the small side but tasty at least.

Not a good first experience. I won't be reordering and I'll be more hesitant about the quality of smaller local chains...

I ordered the beef ribs and pork ribs with their 5 cheese baked Mac and cheese and it was absolutely delicious!!! The pork ribs were a bit salty but if you eat it with the BBQ sauce they provide it's amazing I got them with the side Mac and the Mac was soooo good! You can tell there are 5 different cheeses and it wasn't dry! The pork ribs came with about 4 ribs and a few ends. The beef ribs are pretty big and came with 2 and an extra end. Next time I order I will definitely be getting just the beef ribs in my opinion they were better they had a bit of spice to them and weren't too salty! Baked Mac and cheese 9/10 just wish it came with a little more. Pork ribs 6/10 they were too salty but decent. Beef ribs 9/10 perfectly seasoned just wanted a little...

Location is a bit dirty with smell of cigarettes in the street and the entrances. The store itself seems okay but the restaurant inside is basically just your typical grill kitchen which is not bad though I expect it to be more cleaner than this. If you're coming in to place an order and the guy is cooking, he'll ignore you (even though he seen you) until you say something otherwise if you don't and someone else came after you does he'll serve them instead of you. The food is alright just not mouth watering delicious like what you would get from other popular places, wings taste like the same wings you would had gotten if you bought em from the supermarket and home cook em. Overall it's a decent place to get something to eat, just don't expect...
