I consider myself a "boat noodle connoisseur." Whichever restaurant offers this dish, I always order to try. I've been very disappointed in the past, so I honestly was not expecting too much when I came to Knyaw and Thai Kitchen. My boyfriend and I came on grand opening day, and we decided to share one large bowl, just in case it was not to our liking. We ordered other things on the menu as well, but we were most eager to try the boat noodle.
A short wait later, the kind (and tall) waiter brought out our bowl. The bowl was on the smaller side, for "large" size. Nevertheless, I took a sip of the broth, and let me tell you,.... IT WAS AMAZING. The broth was rich, full of flavor, savory, and not at all sweet. Right when I took that sip, I looked up at my boyfriend, and even thought I love him so much, I said to him "I don't want to share. I want my own bowl!" I pushed the bowl towards him to try and he quickly took a sip of the broth. His eyes lit up and got so wide. He goes "YEAH I WANT MY OWN..... WAITER!!!" Lmao. We quickly ordered another bowl for him, because noooo way were we sharing one bowl. It was THAT good!!!
I'm a regular at this establishment, and their boat noodle is very consistent. Not a bad day in the books! They since have upgraded their bowl sizes, so a large size bowl, really IS large now.
The boat noodle broth is extremely rich. Not something that I could eat every day. But ohhh, soooo good. If I could, I would definitely eat it everyday! I will go as far as saying this is the most delicious boat noodle one can find in the twin cities! Highly highly recommend!
Other dishes worth trying: -Pad see ew is very good as well. One of the best I've had. -Thai khao poon is good. Extremely rich, on the...
Read moreGreat food and service. The lady was kind and respectful, occasionally asking us if we needed anything. The family ordered pho, padthai, sesame chicken and orange chicken. The pad Thai was excellent, maybe a bit more spicy would have been nice. The pho was great too, Vietnamese style of which is my preferred flavor type. The sesame and orange chicken were for the kids, the flavor was excellent but chicken was a tad dry, it's not your standard Chinese takeout. Overall the experience was great, these little family own restaurant shops that delivers good food nowadays are a rarity, and this establishment here did not disappoint. I hope they continue to do their best and grow. Keep up...
Read moreI got the strawberry milk tea and it decent - strawberry flavor wasn’t super strong it was more on the weak side where you can slightly taste it. Personally I feel appetizer are overpriced for their portions like the sai krok(only 6 meat balls for $10) and I know many local places where I can get well over 15 for the same price. I got the large boat noodle and I think the portion difference is definitely good for an extra $2. Overall I think the place is really nice, prices are decent, and didn’t have to wait long for the food (only 6 other...
