We visited for dinner last weekend and it was the second time we had a bad experience at this location. Front of house customer service is more than lacking. We felt like we had just walked into someone's house univited. The boy running the register was not friendly or welcoming, he did not smile or say thank you. We ordered a solo thin cheese pizza and a hoagie with cheese bread. When our order was called, the same boy who took our order handed over the food with yet again, no thanks or smile. Zero personality. The pizza was a thin solo cheese that they burned, leaving the crust hard and inedible. On top of that, there was absolutely zero sauce on it rendering it even more dry and tasteless than it already was. The hoagie and cheese bread were not hot at all, I could tell it sat on the rack for a while before being passed out or it was made right away instead of the last minutes before the pizza came out the oven. It was barely warm to the touch and the cheese had already congealed on the garlic cheese bread causing it to all come off with the first bite. The middle of the bread was even cold. I couldn't see anyone around that appeared to be in charge to talk to about our experience. We will not be burned a 3rd time, save yourself the disappointment and go to a different location.

Pizza was great. We had a party is the back and it was a nice space. I thought they would have plates and untisels back there at the least but we had to get our own at the front and they ran out so we got paper plates. Not a big deal but kind of annoying. Didnt cost anything for the room. Would totally do again. Shout out to Princess Party Pals. NICOLE WAS AWESOME.

The pasta at Davanni's is very good and their prices won't break your budget. You make your selections at the counter and pick up your food when your name is called. The young woman at the counter who took our order was friendly and helpful as this was our first visit to the restaurant.

Get it together Davannis . There is a rather large price discrepancy from their google menu which I ordered off of yesterday and the actual prices they charge ... a company of this size should have no problem updating their menu prices.. having worked there as a kid and being a customer for over 20 years I can tell you the quality of food has not changed ... Only the prices. Ordered a hoagie that was supposed to be 6.29 and was charged 7.55 and a 2 topping med deep dish pizza that was supposed to be 14.12 according to the menu that they supplied to google but was charged 16.17... it may not be a lot of money but it's definitely enough to change the google menu as it's completely misleading. I don't think I am the only person who uses the menu feature on google listings. With their new pricing there is definitely other competitive options in the area as the food is still put together by whatever kids stick around for summer or college kids that are obviously more focused on their homework than their part time jobs so the consistency is lacking . I've definitely gotten some shotty hoagies as of late . I am very surprised Rocco would let something like this fly as he's a stand up guy no doubt . I'll still be a customer as it's a block away from home, but I may look elsewhere for my usual lazy Sunday food orders and would suggest others do the same. FWIW the place also has summer and winter hours that aren't posted to google correctly either leading to numerous people I know showing up to a closed store when it says online it should be open as other reviewers have stated. Higher pricing should be synonymous with better quality service and food and their new pricing...

What an experience.

Many things happened in my simple Davanni's pickup. I thought that I would just place my order. Pick it up. Pay. Then finally drive home. First off, for reference, it was raining and a rather cold day. This made parking a nightmare. The parking lot is very small and had a ton of spots reserved for delivery drivers. Fair enough. BUT, when entering the lot and not seeing any spaces it makes sense to pull in to an open area, and pull out and attempt to find a spot in the crowded street parking. NOPE, some guy acting as a hall monitor actively seeks you out to inform you that you cannot park there.......... well yeah, no spots are open how am I suppose to get out guy? Unbelievable that this guys job is to make you park elsewhere. Fine, it is a city parking is always tough. Once into the building, I pay and get my pizza. The pizza is just on a shelf (well I assume), and I walk out. Right when I enter the car, the person I am with me tells me it does not feel very warm. I respond with "It is probably just cold out" and I drive home, which is less than a mile away. Once I get the pizza inside we come to find that it is indeed not warm. sigh. We turn our oven on and reheat the pizza and finally enjoy what little patient we have left.

Definitely would eat inside the restaurant for a better experience, but I would probably give the other pizza places around the area a chance first.

2/5 proceed...
