Vikings & Goddesses Pie Company — Restaurant in Saint Paul

I thought I had reviewed this place already, but after thoroughly enjoying some of their tasty treats and thinking I should update the review with a, "Yup, still good!", I noticed I hadn't written anything yet.

In short, these are some of the best treats you can have. There's nothing better in the morning than a perfect croissant (or a chocolate croissant with a coffee). Everything about them is so good...from the perfect flakiness of the pastry to the quality of the chocolate (it tastes nuanced and alive rather than generic and flat).

These are honestly so good that my kids' friends choose the house they want to sleepover at based on whether I have croissants in stock.

The staff are always friendly (and thoughtful on delivery).

Such a delicious and consistent local family (husband and wife) run bakery! They have amazing puff pastry- croissants and danishes (which I was never into before) and needless to say special rotating pie flavors that they seem to nail every time. Feel like we get spoiled to now have their stuff is in multiple local coffee shops, are at farmers markets and that they have a permanent bakery window in St. Paul! A must try! One of my coworkers called their chocolate croissants “perfection” and I would have to agree. Everything else I’ve tried is DELICIOUS, both sweet and savory. Check out their website for their walk-up window hours and options for ordering in advance. Support this local business.
