I fell in love with Khue's Kitchen. My hubby picked this place for our date night and it didn't disappoint one bit. From the friendly service, the ambiance to the very delicious food my hubby and I had an amazing experience here. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food is traditional Vietnamese cuisine with an elevated twist. We ordered a few dishes to share and had some delicious leftovers to take home. We started off with the Cream Cheese Wontons and the Chicken salad. The Cream cheese wontons were savory and was served with a sweet and sour sauce for dipping. The Chicken salad was what I fell in love with. It was just bursting with flavors. It had the perfect amount of heat, tang from the fish sauce vinaigrette , lots of freshness from herbs, crunchy cabbage and topped off with fried onions and peanuts. The Chicken salad is an experience all on it's own. For entrées we decided to try the Roast Pork fried rice and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The fried rice was delicious with Crispy rice, scallion oil, crispy pork, lap xuong topped with a fried egg and chili crunch. I don't have words to explain how delicious the Chicken Sandwich was. It was a crispy, juicy, delicious mess. The sandwich was in a Brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, house pickles, herb aioli and chili crunch. Thai chili crunch was so delicious wanted to take a iar of it home.
We decided to end our date night on a sweet note. We both got the Thai tea Tres Leche. We love the traditional Tres Leche and we didn't know what to expect. This Tres Leche is quite unique. It had the right amount of sweetness and the Thai tea flavor stood out. The cake was topped with whipped cream, coconut crunch and Sugar Boba. The Thai tea gets poured in at the table.
After we were done with our meal, the chef/owner Eric Pham came out and talked to us and made sure we had a great experience. That was an experience in itself. I can't say enough great things about this place. Go check it out. We will definitely be back to try other...
Read moreI accidentally found this spot scrolling around google maps for restaurants on Raymond Avenue. Looks like this place had just opened recently and had great reviews so I wanted to visit. I finally got to eat there last night with my family!
The Food:
Everything we ordered was so good! The Pork Fried Rice was so flavorful I had to finish the entire bowl. To be fair, we were all famished after a long afternoon at the gym.
My kid had the Jicama Ribs and the texture was unreal. Crunchy outside but also soft in the middle like the fat of real ribs. The flavor was reminiscent of a pork dish I grew up eating, but it was all vegetarian. Delightful!
My partner had the Banh Mi Meatball and that was excellent too. All dishes were plated beautifully.
We all topped it off with the Thai Tea Tres Leches, we all enjoyed it as it wasn't cloyingly rich or overly sweet. Partner enjoyed the frosting quite a bit which says a lot since he's not a sweets person.
The restaurant/ambiance:
Cozy and intimate with a great patio for warmer weather. Everything is tastefully decorated and it would be such a perfect spot for a date night. The music playlist they had on was rad too. I mean, I would want to listen to Sade while eating a great meal.
The service:
Staff were so attentive and kind and explained their favorites and recommendations. They were on top of everything! Chef Pham was super kind and funny and came out to talk to all the diners.
10/10 would highly recommend it to everyone. What a little gem of a restaurant!

Read moreI found this place and immediately knew this was where I wanted my birthday celebration just from the bio of the chef and the menu alone. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by not only a beautiful space with lots of air purifying plants and deco, but also a kind hostess who confirmed our reservation and quickly directed us to our table in the dining area. The lovely server had the cutest wine glass earrings and such an amazing demeanor-we hadn’t even tried the food yet and I was already having a wonderful time.
The menu included some wonderful n/a drinks (for myself) as well as some great beer choices (for my s/o) - as for the food we ordered the chicken salad, jicama ribs, pork belly fried rice and both desserts (bc why only choose one?)
Throughout the meal Chef Eric Pham came by to check on how we were enjoying our meal and to serve us more water. He was just an absolute delight to converse with and despite the fact that he was no doubt busy running the show, he took time to chat with us for a while before greeting other tables -I loved this personal touch so much as he made funny jokes and was just so personable!
And oh man…the food was next level. Everything was so delicious and I will likely be daydreaming about all of the different dishes until the next time I can make my way back. Until then you can be sure I will be spreading the word about this amazing spot!!! Keep on dishing out those fire dishes and amazing...
