I normally don't write negative reviews, but this place really upset me. I walked in and a man and two women were at the counter and didn't greet or acknowledge me at all. I thought perhaps they didn't see me since they were mindlessly talking and they were towards the back of the store, but even when I walked up to all three of them there was no welcome. I even tried making eye contact and was walking about a foot away from the woman standing behind the counter and still no hello, welcome, or let us know if you need help finding anything. I was like 1 of 4 customers there! It wasn't even close to closing time! I let it go and continued to go about the store, which was nicely displayed and I was about to purchase some things, but then I heard the lady (who couldn't manage to look up or utter a simple hello to me) stop talking to her coworkers and without hesitation warmly greet a young couple that entered the store and said if they needed help finding anything, to let one of them know. I left the store right after that. It's retail 101--greet any customer that walks in by just saying hello. I'm a local resident of the neighborhood and I've always wanted to go to this store and I took time during my day off to go in. It's just unfortunate I took time out of my day only to have these three individuals make such a bad impression for me to write a review, never return, and tell everyone I know not to go here because their customer service...
Read moreA superb shop for antiques. Upon walking in the door we were greeted, asked if we had shopped here before and explained the layout and the multiple ways to get downstairs.
The store is multiple vendors in different staging areas. They have exquisite decor with lovingly made hand crafted tables with filigree or marble tops to small post cards, maps, cookingware and more. I also noticed a surprising amount of Scandinavian, Norwegian and Germanic items. I loved the handcrafted Swedish box but sadly it was out of my price range.. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building itself was very lovely and the interior was well maintained. Beyond the short height staircases ( I smacked my head coming up the stairs) this place was a gem.
Sadly I didn't find much to my intrest but my wife was over the moon with her purchases. Many of the prices were on par with the quality of the items. I didn't see anything...
Read moreMy friend and I came here to look around and were pleasantly surprised by the number of items sold here. There was a system for categorization and authentication of things that I couldn't quite make sense of but I imagine those looking for that would be able to sort it out. There's both an upstairs and downstairs to the place and my friend found a cool mug he was excited to purchase. Staff were pleasant and helpful during the checkout process and it was clear this is a place of interest based on the foot traffic. I'll definitely be back again in the future to see what else they've got. An easy 5...
