do SHAGGY'S — Restaurant in Saint Peters

This was my very 1st time visiting "Do Shaggy's", but probably will not be my last. After finally finding the establishment, I was pleasantly surprised. The Menu is not overly complicated or vast just Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, & a Cheese Steak Sand....They have Beef Tallow French Fries & Onion Rings. Prices are fairly reasonable for portion size. Absolutely loveee their Hamburger Bun!!(wish they sold them in pkgs). The best Hamburger Bun that I have had anywhere!! The Bun is made for Burgers, very soft, almost spongy. Able to soak up any grease or sauces w/o becoming soggy & falling or tearing apart & it has a nice mild sweetness to it. It has a Homemade-Bakery Fresh taste & consistency to it. The Burgers were nice size & although Smashed they were very meaty & not greasy or overly seasoned. It was just right. The girl who took my order was very pleasant-friendly & extremely helpful explaining their menu to me. "Do Shaggy's" used to be a former Smash Burger establishment, but in my opinion "Do Shaggy's" is much better & their is no comparison in quality of food!! It was worth the adventure that I had finally finding the place. I would love if they had "Crispy Onion Straws" or "Fried Onion Rings" as an option on Toppings? & I look forward to visiting again & seeing what more they add to their menu & the overall establishment. We have recently found this hidden gem and have already visited a few times working our way through the menu. The food has been awesome thus far. The space is pretty small and should accommodate parties one to eight (maybe 10) people, but at 10 or more you're pretty much the entire floor space and nearly every chair.

The atmosphere is fun with deliberate wall graffiti and stuffed or manipulative characters hidden about the restaurant. And the decor is otherwise a familiar take on postmodern industrial with concrete floor and corrugated metal walls and pseudo industrial lighting fixtures.

This is a casual fast dining restaurant with counter order service, self serve soda fountain, and they run your food to the table from the kitchen when it is ready (like Culver's, Mooyah, etc)

CAUTION: If making alterations, be very clear and ensure the request was heard and entered properly. If you are not deviating from the normal preparation of the item, you'll be fine. But if you are a sauce on the side, regardless if it's mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard or whatever, or are changing out the cheese or requesting no cheese, these requests have messed up two of our three visits but not to the point of having the...

The food was hot and fresh upon delivery, unfortunately that was the only good thing about it. We ordered take out as we have many times in the past. This was the absolute worst. Do Shaggys has went downhill and continues to do so. Our family of four ordered and the only decent thing that came out of our order was my daughter’s grilled cheese. Burgers ordered without shaggy sauce were slathered in it. Burgers ordered without cheese had cheese covering them. The bun on my chicken sandwich was falling apart because it was so slimy. The chicken itself was overcooked and burnt. The lettuce on the same sandwich was discolored and brown looking way past its prime. All the French fries were way past being over salted, to the point that they didn’t taste like any sort of potato and all you could taste was salt. It saddens me to see food quality slip like this for a place we used to enjoy and order from regularly. This used to be our go to for ordering burger takeout. After spending $80+ for this slop my family is now having to find something else to eat this evening. Don’t waste your money...
