Dunkin' — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Okay this place is my place. They provide me my breakfast and my 1st dose of sanity in the morning as I go to work, 7 days a week. Now I'm totally giving this place 5 stars because reviews are very important. And we all know that people mostly go and post negative reviews after they get pissed about their service... and reviews are their only thing they can do to hurt the company. Well the morning shift on the week days is filled with an assortment of different faces, with a few Much Needed Faces in there. Today a new girl they had at the window, was apparently a pet lover. I noticed this as she decided to pet a Dalmatian that was hanging its head out a back window. Next I'm up... am not a pet lover, but I don't get an option here, today at breakfast. I see her hands coming from out of my bag, and of course her hands are all over my iced coffee. I drove off and forgave her. But for some reason the egg today just did not taste right, and I know it probably wasn't because she touched the dog...but I could not eat it. Now listen she is NOT the reason I want to express myself to you. I also make at least one more visit there each day 7 days a week. And honestly you can go to ANY Dunkin Donuts and sometimes you just get the feeling that they don't really CARE what you would like in your coffee. They just want to get you gone! Although I order the same exact drink every time, it will be different every time. I know that its probably my own fault but I am borderline diabetic because the amount of sugar they put in the coffee, and how I have been drinking it, is not safe. So for over a year I try to say No Sugar... but then its not sweet enough. So I get more cream, and now No Sugar and I enjoy it. A lot of people here DO CARE, but they don't Always make my coffee, UNFOURTUNALLY. - Yesterday after work Mr. Breezy Baby thought it would be funny to only give me ice, cream, and flavor, NO COFFEE!! The evening shift has one young lady named Vanessa, that runs that place like the back of her hand. She IS MY EVERYTHING!! When others make my coffee and I have to bring it back because they forgot whatever, she makes it right, I don't even have to order... She just knows. I really hope that this young lady is being paid a fair wage, and that she was given a raise when she was taken off of morning shift, to close the store for you folks. Jessica the Manager is Great, her real crew is awesome. Shout out to Kay-Kay I Love Ya'll. Like I said that's my place! Whatever we are doing we are...

In most cases, rating a chain fast food restaurant is merely a numbers game: don't mess up my order more than twice every 10 times I go, keep it to less than 2 hairs in my meal, and as long as it's still pretty hot when I get to work 10 minutes after ordering, you will have your 4 or 5 star rating.This place however is not 4 stars. I am forced to go beyond my normal reviewing standards. I'll give it somewhat of a pass because it's a brand-new shop after opening less than a month ago, but there are some glaring things that simply cannot be left unaddressed:

The cashiers are terrible. There is just no way around this. Every time I've gone, the cashiers have taken at least 3-5 minutes on my single order -- not preparing it, mind you, but just fiddling around with the buttons on the register. I don't think it's a matter of them being poorly trained, but rather it seems they haven't been trained at all. Whatever it is, it is significantly slowing down business.

Another irritating gripe that I have is that the selection of food at this establishment is always lacking. Why advertise something if it's never available? I've gone at 6am and they are supposedly out of chocolate croissants on various occasions. Huh? Already? I'm beginning to think they use this croissant lie to entice and reel unsuspecting fools in. This is a problem I have with several Dunkin' Donuts in St. Petersburg, so I can't complain about this one too much just for following suit but either way, it's very annoying.

Last, the layout of this Dunkin' was terribly constructed. I get it, there wasn't a lot of room to work with when building on this property. Still, there's only one entrance/exit point and it's right in the line of the drive thru. Getting out of the parking lot can be pretty tedious with near-miss accidents, people who don't know how to turn, and the backed-up drive thru.

Sadly, I'll keep going to this Dunkin' because it's in walking distance from my home and it's on my way to work. I just hope with a little experience and time, this Dunkin' improves to mediocrity like most of the other ubiquitous and overrated donut shops in St. Pete.

Every time I come to this location in Clearwater on Gulf to Bay. I I can honestly say that it has not been a disappointment ever because either the employee through the drive-thru speaker has a really good sense of humor and you can just place your order and have a good giggle with them at the same time. As example when I went there today I was Desiring a mint chocolate chip milkshake, and after I place the order the employee very politely in a bashful voice stated" I apologize but we are limited on flavors and that is one we do not have right now and I believe it is because the ice cream and gods have decided it so". Her response was so truthful and sincerely honest that it just brought a giggle of sheer unaltered Joy and it was the best" I'm sorry we do not have that option" that I have ever heard through a drive-thru! I myself have worked drive-thru at a fast food place before, and it can be very taxing and very stressful in a negative way so this individual has the right mentality and not only is a star behind the drive-thru microphone. If she was to choose to become a security officer here in Florida she would make a extremely positive impression beyond measure! I want to thank this Dunkin Donuts location for having managers that are able to pick those hidden gems in the group of applications that can make a customer's day of sadness and tiredness become the biggest best positive end for their day and make all the negative stress go away! This is security officer Williams and I encourage everyone to go to this location no matter where you live, and definitely try their new donut that has the glazed donut hole in the center on top of the sweet yummy Frosted donut. In my opinion it gives the appearance of the sweetest and fluffiest sunny-side egg you would ever eat yet it's a donut a winning combination! Have an awesome day and thank you again...
