We were here on Dec. 8th, but I wanted to give a shout out to this place before I forget... I didn't realize that this place is more setup for drive thru with only a very small space under a roofed area for walk up. It appears the location was an old service station and has been remodeled into this cafe. The kitchen/service area is smallish and a lot of staff is busy creating drinks and food quickly for the frequent lineup of drive thru customers. It was also decorated for the holidays. Cute! We walked from our airbnb so we made use of the tiny outdoor area. I was a little leery if service would be good given that we were not the "norm" and they were quite busy with drive thru. However, we were greeted right away and never left to feel we were anything but a priority. The young lady taking our order was so nice and took all my specific requests so that I got exactly what I wanted. We ordered some breakfast toasts from their speciality menu and I can say that both of them were fantastic. I could happily eat those delicious, flavorful and healthy toasts daily. We talked briefly with one of the owners, too, because I had to tell her how nice they were and the good energy they gave. For me, when I go for coffee or a smaller breakfast like this, it's really the atmosphere that makes the experience. In this case, it was both the food and the people. I'd be happy to revisit knowing that I'd be leaving again with a smile on my face and bit more pep in my step! A smallish side note that my husband mentioned - as is the case for many food service places lately, prices are on the higher side, but given the quality we both...
Read more(Adjusted from 5 to 2 stars) .. One of the best egg croissant sandwiches I've had in awhile too. The drive-thru experience is super unique, you have to give this place a try.
This place is amazing, don't get me wrong .. however, they once messed up my order and put bacon (on two sandwiches), when I go out of my way to not eat meat. After returning home, I realized and called them .. the manager said they would remake it for me, but not everyoone has the time to stop what they are doing and return.. especially considering the drive-thru express nature of the place. As I travel quite often, I didnt return for a few months and when I did, they acted like I was trying to get free food and asked me to pay for one, and they would provide the other on trust that I wasn't making up some story... which is why I have to lower the review here to two stars.
Epic food, but like .. I paid to have two bacon sandwiches that I couldn't eat and the only way I could eat here again was by buying another sandwich!? AND taking the time to return, prove my story on pure trust. I felt awkward and embarrassed to even ask again and return.. but I did, and I owned it.. and now that I consider having to repay for more food.. I have a hard time considering this place...
Read moreAnd I quote,” these’s a 15% gratuity I took the liberty of adding so you don’t have to touch the machine!” I was dumbfounded! What- you added 15% gratuity, without my consent after my card was swiped[?] He sure did! No, we did not cancel our order- I was shook. Chick-fil-A does not take the liberty of charging 15% gratuity, as they stand outside and take your order. So am I missing a new handout zombie wave or something? Tipping is fine, at that parties discretion, not at the liberty of the server, and of course Per restaurant policy.
And the cinnamon roll was basically still frozen in the center. It’s drive-through dinning, not pay for you food and finish warming your meal, once you arrive home. And, you’ll have to request a receipt, if you are A meticulous record keeper. Nothing special- and the staff seemed sad to be working! Not even their -“took the Liberty 15% self gratuity” seemed to make them happy! Rip. Oh, food review, just okay! Nothing...
