Sunset Grille — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I had been a very frequent customer since purchasing my home nearby in 2001. I adore most of their staff and have spent many a wonderful evening...but beware of your weekdays prior to 5! You need only visit any other local bar and mention the name Jackie and everyone you meet has a nasty experience with her. As she is a friend of the owner..your complaints go to deaf ears...unfortunately. Thus a ghost town during most daytime hours ...although the evening staff will acknowledge,apologize for her known behavior, and exceed your expectations, Current Management's allowance and support of her hostile unprofessional and unwarranted behavior demands a no return policy on my part.

After being once AGAIN with eye rolls, huffs and puffs and a greeting to the entire restaurant of "I'm in no mood to deal with her today" the only daytime outdoor server...Jackie chooses to ignore me for 45 minutes..tending to anyone else's needs refilling drinks..new arrivals until two other confused patrons called her over for assistance as they had heard me call out to her 3 times for assist.

Jackie was outraged that it was about me and responded by stomping to her purse, grabbing a tampon that she shoved in my face stating "I have more important things to tend to" abruptly walking away. Did I know her previously..or mistreat her...or not tip her...or antagonize in any way ...no..no and no.

The rationale is as simple as she has zero people skills ...not fond of humanity...extremely abrupt and confrontational to all and especially if you bring your dog..although Sunset is Pet friendly...she is neither people or pet friendly. Both customers and coworkers are aware and apologetic of her behavior..where else can you have this dining experience..literally nowhere ..thankfully!

No longer my battle as despite my love of many other aspects and employees .I will never return. There are so many other's who proceed me in this outcome.. unfortunately..Jackie wins again. I had to wait for the initial shock of your young enough to still menustrate to wear.off ..followed by the OMG ..you seem like you are always unhappily on your period...to the current belief that she should be tipped in tampons...

I will post again explaining her pet hatred...but this was a TRULY...

So me and a few friends of mine had come here for taco Tuesday one night. We had went through the front entrance and made our way to one of the tables outside of the main area because it was mostly packed. Mind you, a server that did not serve us that night said we could sit right there. So we sit there, waiting to be greeted. Long story short, it had taken 30 minutes just to be acknowledged and to be told that we have to sit in the main area by another waitress. So we get greeted and take our seats. After that, the server tells us the reason why we were neglected was because of our previous visit(supposedly she remembered us) not tipping at all(despite giving a tip the money I had at the time). My friends had suggested this place due to the prices for taco Tuesday, and I was low on money the first time(it was second time visiting), and she had not even bothered to give me change the first time I had visited. She said that she didn’t even want to take the order if she knew we were not going to tip, and I was prior to this conversation because I had gotten my first paycheck due to being unemployed. Me and my friends in totaled ordered 8 tacos in total, which the two others had some sides. It had taken them a little over an hour to prepare them. The server’s tirade was one of the most unprofessional acts of service I had ever witnessed, and it had made me and my friends realize we would not be bringing our business ever to this place again. If you wanted a deal on tacos here for Tuesday, make sure to pay additional for tipping or the server(blonde Caucasian lady mainly) would not bother...

I HAVE KNOWN THIS PLACE TO BE THERE FOR OVER 12 PLUS YEARS. I HAVE GONE THERE SO MANY TIMES SINCE THEN,. I MOVED AWAY FOR 4 YEARS AND CAME BACK TO LIVE IN ST PETE AND WENT HERE FOR DINNER. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE CHANGE IN THE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS HORRIBLE!!!! I ORDERED GROUPER WHEN IT CAME OUT YOU WOULD OF THOUGHT I ORDERED SUSHI. IT WAS UNDER COOKED. I ORDERED NACHO SUPREME FOR AN APPITIZER FOR MY 3 KIDS I REMEBER THEM BEING AWESOME , FRESH VEGGIES AND GOOD MEAT) NOT THIS TIME THE MEAT WAS WORSE THAN TACO BELL GRADE, THE CHEESE WAS CHEESE WIZ NOT SHREDDED AS THE MENU READS, THE CHIPS WERE SOGGY FROM SITTING TOO LONG UNDET THE HEAT LAMP I SUPPOSE WITH THE GREASY NASTY MEAT AND CHEESE WIZZ. MY 8 YEARS OLD SON ORDERED 10 WINGS, HE ATE 2 BEFORE I REALIZED THEY WERE NOT COOKED COMPLETELY. I WAS CHARGED FOR A TO GO CUP AFTER I WAS CHARGED FOR REFILLS ON THE SODA FOR MY KIDS. AND I WAS CHARGED FOR TO GO CONTAINERS FOR MY KIDS LEFT OVER SALAD, WHICH WAS THE ONLY THING THAT WAS OK. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE PLACE THIS HAS BECOME. ITS A SHAME OH AND DONT LET ME FORGET THE PRICES ARE INSANE 4 PEOPLE WITH A BIL OF $72.00 SCREW THAT I SHOULD OF WENT TO CHILIS OR OLIVE GARDEN LIKE I SAID THE FIRST TIME TO BOOT THIS WAS MY BIRTHDAY DINNER
