Wildflower Ice Cream — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

We knew we were in for a treat when we arrived and the place was a buzz. We had no idea how much of a treat! While in line and trying to decide between the Minty and Salty Sweet my boyfriend became completely mesmerized by their cool magical mixing machine. The lovely welcoming staff went over the flight flavors with me and my boyfriend decided to go with the Salty Sweet for himself. I was pleasantly surprised by the flight sizes when my name was called. I have to be honest I was a little hesitant as I hadn't been a huge fan of fruit in my ice cream in the past. Well, consider me a convert! I obviously started with the chocolate one and that was delicious. I loved the flavor and the texture. Then I moved on to the Strawberry one. I kept going back for more. What was happening. It was fresh strawberries and the ingredients were mixed throughout thanks to their delightful machine. It felt so summery. Lastly I moved on to the off menu Blueberry Surprise which my boyfriend said was right up my alley- all things I love. Well, he was right! This has to be some of the best ice cream I have ever had. Fresh blueberries, subtle not overwhelming lavender and delicious honey. I'm hooked. I hope I can get this flavor again. It's so creamy, so smooth, so refreshing. I'm a huge fan. I chose fruit over chocolate! You know they are doing something magical here. Even the customers here are nice. One family asked us to join them on their table. Wow! What a hidden gem. I wish this had been open when I grew up in St. Petersburg, 3 miles away. But I’m an adult now and I can drive here to enjoy this incredible ice cream shop. And I will, and I’ll bring friends because it’s THAT good!

My first time was a few days ago. I had been running errands, and in a search online for ice cream, I found this gem. All of the ingredients and flavors offered looked appetizing. It was difficult to decide what to get. When in doubt, get 3 kids cups of 3 different appetizing flavors.

The blueberry was delicious. I love blueberries, and this was perfection. Strawberry is my next favorite fruit, and the Shortcake with strawberries, vanilla & graham cracker did not disappoint. It was a tie for with blueberry mix for a decadent pleasure. The Salty Sweet was amazing! It had just the right amount of salty pretzels and sweet chocolate. My taste buds were in heaven for a third time.

The two young ladies who mixed up my flight of favors were sweet & knowledgeable. They were thorough and efficient. This was also a comfortable place to sit & relax - inside & out. First of all… CUTEST little space. Second of all… nicest folks running the place. And last (but certainly not least)… absolutely delicious!

The ambiance inside is so happy and I’m thinking I may need to copy their colors and vibe in my home kitchen now. Pale peachy walls, coral pink tables, bright orange trash cans, and light wood shelves mixed with tile accents. They maximized this petite space and made it feel so much more roomy and inviting. Equipped with patio tables that are for all sizes- grown ups and littles.

The menu is simple… but somehow offers a massive range of possibilities! I love the concept of choosing “add-ins” vs “toppings”. You pick your ice cream base, which includes classic vanilla and chocolate (and a delicious dairy-free option too). Then you choose your “add-ins” which include fresh fruits, cookies, etc. Which all get blended together and swirled out of a soft serve machine.

It’s so fresh and delicious, and the. Ingredients are clearly laid out on their website which is not only smart of them, but is very helpful to people who have dietary restrictions.
