Rush Hour Chicken & Waffles — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

The food was so delicious it didn’t make it home. This is a soul food restaurant, this is no McDonald’s so the food takes time to marinate (in my John Witherspoon voice) and take time to cook. If you want food atmosphere with dranks 🥃 🍹, after work. This is your spot. If you want good chicken 🍗 wings you know your doctor told you didn’t need to have! This the spot. My order was hot fresh and made to order.

Don’t wear nothing you know you not going to take to the dry cleaners nor just be able to throw in the wash. The hood vent might need a little cleaning due to the Grease smell on ya clothes just sitting 🪑 waiting on your food.

I hate when people do reviews and they discuss wait times. This is not 🍔 king nor McDonald’s ya going to have to wait its worth it. 🧇 was so good I don’t need syrup.

I’ve been coming eat 🍽🍴since 2013 so glad his visit has expanded. The music 🎵 was good as I waited for my food. Two set of Women came in here nicely dressed and one sat at the bar , both got in and took selfie’s 🤳. Man chatted with the ladies, it was nice to see good flavored folks. Bartender was serving dranks and other ladies were blowing up balloons 🎈.

We looked online before coming and google started on Sat the hours were 10:30 am-2:00am. It was 11:00 when i called 3 times with no answer. So i drove to the restaurant. The OPEN sign was on and the door was unlocked. I stood at the register for 10 mins. Watched. Deliver 3 people their food before he even address. When he addressed he told to go to the bar and she will help me. I then went to the bar to watch the waiter help other people for about 5 more mins before i stopped and asked her what time they closed. She said “we been closed!! And walked away and hold on. 5 more mins she came back and asked me and my friend what we want to order. We say 2 chicken and waffle plates. She say hold on, let me if he is still cooking. She goes and asked and the same cook that sent me to the waiter says no, he not cooking. So we came and sat for 15 minutes with open light on to get nothing. If that ain’t the most unprofessional, poorest customer service that i I’ve ever received then i don’t know what it. I come here frequently and brag to people how good this place is, to be treated is sick manner...

Drove 30 min out of our way to come here, and had high hopes for it! I wouldve given a higher rating had it not been for the customer service. When we arrived most of the sides we were ordering they were out of, but making more. Was told it'd be about 45 min, so we left and came back. Food was good, and we had every intention of coming back again, but when we went to pay the owner did a 360, and had a very poor attitude! I had a Groupon which covered most of the meal, and when I showed it to him his response in an angry tone "you were supposed to tell me you had a Groupon as soon as you walked in the door." Excuse me, is the food or service different if you have a Groupon?? It was like he wasted the "good food" on us! I show the Groupon when I pay, and he didnt ring us up until the end. He got hateful, his whole attitude changed! He didnt ask how the food was, thank us for coming, nothing! For this I will not be coming back again!
