Hello I'm emailing you in disappointment, a fellow hospitality worker and an upset customer. I eat at Salem's regularly and since in was 19 I a now 38 . The specific store was 1701 at 11pm . I ordered 2 grilled chicken gyros .. so sad the chicken was old cold , discolored and dry . It wasn't even thrown on the flat top to warm it up with a little water or anything. It was definitely in holding for more than 2 hours already when I came BK to exchange the ride manager a man told me that Salem's only makes the chicken breast one tie in the morning?????!!!!! Lol ummm when this is not the Salem way everything should be made to order . Per the slogan and because I've worked at another location . He refused to cook me fresh chicken or give e a refund so I exchanged for lamb🤣 Lord have mercy on this crew please send another manager to retrain them they gave me the dry outer shaved meat that basically was hard as a rock and cold because I peeked over the window and the machine was off!!!!!! Plus you should always throw away the top outer trimming shaved very thin because it's been airborne idk how long also because people are walking passed it ,couching,sneezing dust flying while sweeping anywho I opened them before I left the store to just look at the money was hard and cold and one was a little fresh but still cold as ice I tried to show him the difference but he refused to look or exchange for anything else. At this very moment I am sitting on the toilet with horrible diarrhea and it's because of this locations food. I will be going on Google to leave a review I will be calling the health department and I demand that he is retrained if there is no change made to the quality of the food i will never eat at salems again and i will tell everyone i knpw about the quality of this locations service and quality of the food . It makes me sad that he refused to even look at the food and when he glanced told me that it was fresh. I am a grill cook for 17 years now at hight volume restaurants his answer was an insult and so was his choice in customer service if he can't tell what's freshly made and what's old then he needs thicker glasses I'm just being honest oh but wait he said that it wasn't fresh it was made this morning lol not even a recoil for 2 and shift I have never had food so disgusting from Salem's in my life the staff looks depressed just like the food they are sending out no pride in their work whatsoever and based upon the manager I see why because he has no standards as well it is unacceptable for anyone to get old food after waiting
Well I tried to respond but Google would only let me edit .the marketing department contacted me and the general manager names oussama he was very understanding and patient. He replaced my order and everything was fresh and tasty .I guess I will be eating at salads again and telling all my friends how salams really does take in account customer feedback thank you to the salams team that cookrd my order this time it was definetly fresh and oussama is very good...
Read moreThis place needs better management this is the second time I come to this place and they give me the wrong order the first time I had to throw my order away cuz I was already home. That was $10 wasted. I come here on the 11th of February ask for my order it took them three times and they still got it wrong the only thing that I will give credit to is the girls in the front it seems like they know how to do the work that they're supposed to do unlike the people in the back,that call themselves the cookers. The individual called Mo was the one I gave my order to, explained clearly what I wanted & he repeated the order back. When you're waiting more than 20 minutes and they still don't get the order right after trying to correct it 2ce & still don't get it right. Have to ask for your money back cause they simply don't seem to understand,while your other food is getting cold. They need to be trained or just not work there @ all.Things @ this place has gone downhill very fast. Tamika and her coworkers in the front were very understanding and they explained it not once not twice but three times to the cooks of what I wanted and still they got it wrong, I don't know whether they are paying attention or is it that they're trying to leave early but it shouldn't have to affect the customers if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. Read moreOur food was very good that we ordered HOWEVER -- . We asked for cocktail and tartar for the 20-piece shrimp plate. I asked for extra sauce for my gryo. She said I had to pay 1.00 each for the sauces. I went ahead and paid the dollar for the gyro sauce. Just then, my hubby said we only got one cocktail sauce. The package of cocktail was way smaller than the sauces at McDonalds! I asked for some more cocktail sauces. Those are 1.00 as well. I let them know I wasn't happy. I just spent 30+ dollars on food, and you guys can't give a reasonable amount of condiments for a 20 piece shrimp! They quickly snapped back at me, saying it's the management's rules. I said, "Whatever, just give me 5 of each." After all that, we never got the gyro sauce we ordered and paid for. The staff there are usually very nice, but God forbid you ask them to do anything extra, and they turn on you with a major attitude.
