Spring Gardens — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

This place is absolutely terrible do yourself a favor and do not eat here! We ordered the general tso chicken dinner combination and the bourbon chicken dinner combination and when we got home to St Pete Beach a 20 minute drive mind you and we went to eat our food it tasted rotten everything looked Gray. not the right color it tasted like it's been sitting out for days my dog wouldn't even eat it. I called them and asked if we could just get our money back and explained what was going on and they told me if I could make it back and bring the food they would give me my $20 back I told him I lived in St Pete Beach and it would take me at least 20 to 25 minutes to get there they insisted that I do not put it in the fridge and wait till the next morning that I needed to bring it back the night of so instead of coming in and wasting gas I went ahead and wanted to post this negative review you can look at the photos and see that something is off about this food we threw the food out I felt sick immediately. I randomly stopped in this strip mall on my way home from somewhere to run into DG for something. I was hungry and saw this place, so I thought I’d give it a try! The reviews weren’t bad on the food itself, and really, the negative reviews were primarily related to long delivery times. So I decided to place an order. I ordered some steamed pot stickers and shrimp fried rice. Overall, it’s not bad! The potstickers were really good, and someone else commented that their sauce was good, I agree, it was very good! The shrimp fried rice, has good flavor and has potential. The rice was on the dry side, I almost think it was probably a bit old, but had it been fresh, I would’ve given this place 5 stars for my order. I’d try then again in the future. I imagine they’re business has slowed down right now, along with most small business, so I can’t judge too harshly on and order of shrimp fried rice and steamed potstickers. Went here recently as it was one of two places open late right after Milton. This was a second chance for them. I used to order from them frequently until about 10 years ago when I found glass pieces in my food. I ordered at the restaurant to go. The food tasted okay but it was just warm and not hot, which was puzzling, seeing as I waited for them to make it. The crab Rangoon tasted like it was left under warmer lights all day or something. Stale-ish. The waiting/dining area was absolutely filthy. There was a bottle of what used to be clear hand sanitizer on top of the garbage can. It was cloudy grey colored. Gross. The menu board is all faded and dirty. The decor was dusty. The floor was dirty and tables were greasy. I noticed all of this after I ordered, payed, and sat down. I was super hungry and only Salem's was open with a drive thru line wrapped around the street. It's safe to say that the place is way worse than 10 years ago because at least they used to be clean with good food....
