Caribbean Cafe — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Unfortunately I was so excited to try the sandwich after picking up a delivery order- but one of the cooks rushed me out to deliver the order to customer without allowing me to place a small order- when I finally finished delivering the order- I called to place my order- the line was busy- so I traveled 20 min away to come and patronize and support the business- when I got there is was 2:28- someone came to the door and said they are closing at 2:30 to make a catering order-but I still decide to order b/c I did the absolute most to get over there- when I tried to order- every single thing I tried to get the lady “Tiffany” said they didn’t have even though they had it ove only 35 min ago- I couldn’t get anything I wanted- so I settled for something else- but the entire energy of Tiffany while I was trying to purchase something was so rude and off putting, I work in customer service and I know how to appease the customer so they can come back- she clearly didn’t want to take my order- she wasn’t willing to accommodate even a small discount for being inconvenienced- there was nothing out on the site that stated they were going to be closed- and because I am beautiful black Goddess Woman, I can never be a Karen- so I hope I am not coming across as that- my intention is just to showcase perspective- and that there is always a different way to do things so all parties involved can be pleased.

Her energy was so off and not accommodating at all.

It's funny, I've orderd from DoorDash the portobello sammy a dozen times and it's different every time. First time it was just portobellas with a TON of cheese. Since I sometimes get lettuce, tomatoes, mayo (as advertised) sometimes not. It is always a variation on these items. Sometimes it's LOADED with portabellos, sometimes just a few.I've come to order it a dozen times but just stopped because I didn't know what to prepare in advance to make the sammy as advertised. It was good while it lasted but until they get some degree of consisitency Ill'pass and not recommend. It's hard to get good help these days, I get it but you need a training program to get everyone on the same page. I order take out because I don't have time to remake your mistakes. Hope you make it but with orders like mine have been I don't see a happy future with all these failures. Where is quality control? Why are these sammies not sent back? Delicious Cuban. Top 5 Cubans of all time this placed 2nd on my list, which is very high. I did not like that there was no prices on the board, and no itemized receipts, so I had wondered if they charged me for a potato ball that I didn't receive or if they never heard me order it to begin with. We were in a rush so I didn't bother to hassle them over it, on the way out I noticed the take out menu and grabbed it, and still couldn't determine what I was billed for. However the people were pleasant, the portions were large and the food was delicious. The bathroom was very clean, which is important to me, especially after a 2 hour drive out there.
