Local spot for sure. Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. Three of us arrived at 12:45pm placed an order with one of the girls and sat at a picnic table, it seemed busy but itās a small place so you can see locals coming and going. First red flag I observed was there was a table full of take out orders that one of the employees was going through individually because some orders mustāve gotten mixed up for people that came to pick up and it seemed chaotic and unlabeled/unorganized as the employee was going through each order opening containers to see what order was what and for whom. I figured we were safe from that because we had ordered already and were actually dining in (waiting at picnic table). An hour goes by and one of the bartenders we struck up a conversation with, says it usually takes long but worth the wait. We check in with the server (1:47pm) that took our order and she says āitās coming nowā and disappears into the kitchen. Okā¦.another 30mins goes by and now we are getting frustrated, no one is checking in with us, even though we are sitting right there in clear view of this tiny spot. Other customers who came AFTER us had been served their food and were already eating or had left with take away. I check in AGAIN (2:20pm) to see how much longer and the SAME server goes āWhat was the name on the order? What did you order again??ā She didnāt take our names WHEN WE ORDERED WITH HER!! What a MESS!!! We left after bit of back and forth with some of the employees trying to figure out where our order went with absolutely NO ONE apologizing or taking accountability. No one offered a solution or frankly seemed to care that we had waited 2 hours at that time point (2:45pm). What a terrible experience and disgusting way to treat customers.
The owner replied and alleged we were told it would take 45min to an hour (lies no one told us this) in any event we waited TWO hours still didnāt have food. I donāt think ābeing in my feelingsā has anything to do with the chronological facts of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were rerouted here by a local after our attempt to eat at Catch of the Day on a oki beach was closed already. I am sooo glad we found this place. Located 2 mins outside the Margaritaville Property the food was A- MAZ-ING! We ate our food so quickly that I didnāt have a chance to take pictures. The whole fish was fresh and cooked well- both steamed and fried version. My husband wished the fish was bigger in size but overall was great. Every dish came with two sides which were also so flavor filled. I had the lobster in butter sauce which is a garlic, onion olive oil/ butter sauce- you want to take it home with you. The rice with beans with perfect and my momās oxtail was meaty and left her wanting more. Overall everything was perfect- the service was so kind, accommodating, and patient. Cold beers from so many different places are available and the food all came out hot!!!! If this is all I eat while I am here I am in heaven. Donāt wage money going to the restaurant on Margaritaville property- walk out to main road, turn right and itās a turquoise green little spot with picnic tables outside. Eat up and enjoy! You will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can't believe this place doesn't have reviews yet. It might be because it looks like a simple bar type of place from the outside but it is actually a local restaurant and it has amazing food! On our vacation we were passing by daily and one day we were super hungry and stopped by randomly and I am so glad we did. I had the best oxtail ever and the mac and cheese and polenta were soo good too. The waitress didn't speak much English but she was very attentive and sweet. My momAnd husband got steamed fish which was also great. Next day we wanted to eat again, my husband wanted to get the oxtail as well but unfortunately they were closed and then next day we had to leave as our vacation was over.
Must try place, try the oxtail!
Also it is super clean! Clean kitchen, clean,...
