It was almost as if they new an auditor or boss was about to walk in because a timer was set and when it sounded a higher up shouted everyone wash your hands!!! Yet NOBODY moved they just kept going on about their business, unfortunately not necessarily work related business. I worked fast food for my entire pre graduate career. And in stead of bring our food to the table with the designated number that THEY provided us wit. A cashier (my best guess, as she hurried me thru my order) asked me if this food looked like it could be mine. As it was boxed i asked "what it was? She replied "looks like.... mine i nodded and she set it next to the soda machine, with any other words spoken to me, she just kept talking to other employees. I shook my head and began to fill our drinks. My mother was dining with me and she is diabetic i noticed that the dt.soda of her choice was mostly carbonation i politely asked for then to change it out or fill it from the drive thru. The (un identified woman's, due to NO name tag) response was " we are super extremely busy right now, if you can't tell, it will take a while before i can get back to you!!! No apologies or ANYTHING!!! The store was not busy, rushed ,recovering from a rush and didnt appear to be preparing for a rush. She proceeded to suggested another regular soda as she turned her back to finish her "funny" conversation with other co workers. A few moments later, "what seemed to be a responsible employee started cleaning and "bussing" tables, sweeping the floor, and gathering trash. I was stood up to go give her praise and ask her name when i noticed she went into the restroom for approximately 2 or 3 minutes, i waited a few feet back,as i had to use the facilities also. The door opened merely moments after the toilet flushed she opened the door, apron still on, the sink appeard to have not been turned on as it was dry, bone dry, the hand dryers were not heard and she was still wearing her apron. Then i obsered her taking out the trash, then she smoked. Returned to work again without washing her hands or changing her apron. And continued to work.
This woman was not either PROPERLY TRAINED ON HAND WASHING RESPONSIBILITIES 20/20 OR OSHA guidelines.
I am in NO means upset with this woman(if PROPERLY TRAINED).
SHE WAS THE ONE AND ONLY EMPLOYEE THAT WAS NOT standing around chit chatting as customers were at the counter.
This woman whom i unfortunately never got her name deserves an award for "ACTUALLY DOING HER JOB THAT SHE GETS PAID JUST THE SAME AS MOST THAT WERE ON THE CLOCK THAT DAY"!!
I love love love Arby's I've always gone through drive through but it makes me wonder if i should go in more often because time temperature control hand washing...
Read moreMy family and I had been in the car for about six hours driving back to Ohio. We stopped in this Arby's for a quick bite before making the final leg of our trip. I headed to the restroom and my family ordered. So when I came out I ordered for myself. The cashier was friendly and when I ordered the medium fry, suggested that the small fry and drink were only a dollar right now to which I had said " I am not paying it so the medium will do!" The cashier laugh and asked my name to call for when my food was done. I was sitting with my family, chatting and playing on phone. My name gets called and I get my food. The other cashier says here you go and I thank her. I am about to dig in when who I am assuming is the manager comes over and proceeds to apologize. I look at her startled like oh no did I grab the wrong food or something? She then says "I am so sorry that you had to wait for your food. Please take these tickets as our apology." I take to two free meal tickets and say no problem not really understanding. I am thinking was I waiting long, it could have only been about 5-10 minutes. I have waiting longer for a doctors visit. This Arby's knows customer service! While I feel like I didn't deserve the tickets because I didn't think I had waited long I do appreciate the gesture. Everyone was super nice and friendly, bathrooms werent bad. Overall I would recommend the Arby's...
Read moreThis was at the Mt Vernon store. They are open until ten. Drive thru is open until twelve. We went in at 9:45 pm and started to order. The assistant manager came up while we were ordering and rudely proceeded to tell us he was going to throw us out at 10:05. He was very rude about it so we asked for corporates phone number. He smirkingly told us yes he would get it for us. He walked to the back and called his manager. ( He told us this.) . In the meantime I had ordered a sandwich and mozarella sticks. They got my sandwich done but said sorry they had forgot to drop my mozarella sticks so I had even less time to eat. In the meantime the assistant manager brought us the corporate phone number and proceeded to get rude and in an argument with my sister. He acted like we could call on him and he knew nothing would be done to him. After he finally left our table, a lady that was in there with a church group came over and asked us if he was rude to us. We told her yes and she said he had been rude to them also. This person does not need to be working there. I asked a worker at Wendy's if I came in the door at five until ten would he run me out. He said no he would serve me and let me eat my food. I will not go back to Arby's in Mt Vernon. I had to take my sandwich to go and then had to wonder if they...
