Captain's Pub — Restaurant in Salem

This was one of my go to spots. And then i lost my job, my car and my house and even though i was down on hard times and had no place to live anymore i would still come in when i had money and gamble. Then one day i went to go in and the bartender Amber yelled at me that i wasn't allowed in there anymore. I had just cut my hair so i was like do you even know who i am? (I was confused because the last time i had been in there nothing out of the ordinary happened) And she said it doesn't matter you're all trouble! So i never went back. I had been going there for about 6 years every other week. I'm not homeless anymore and my husband just signed a bad ass business deal and guess where we won't be spending our money... There were a lot of people that took our money for years and stuck their noses up to us when we were down on our luck and going through hard times. Speakeasy down the road wasn't one of them....

Christina was our server this night and she was great! I’ve never seen a more productive bartender as her. When she had down time she walked to tables and made sure everyone had cups full and asked if they needed anything. Even going as far as remembering certain customers favorite choice of liquor and offering that. The night I was there she had to have upsold shots a few times and multiple pitchers of beers. Not only was the service good but it was great watching her salesmanship at work. I would highly recommend upper management to keep an eye on this one. The new owner and the staff have done an amazing job of making this bar a clean, comfortable, fun and safe place where everyone feels welcome. Great drinks, great prices and lots of fun. Best of all are the wonderful people who are behind the bar! Allicia and Nick are my favorite bartenders anywhere.
