Habaneros that used to be called Muchos Gracias that used to be called The Duck Inn brings back great memories. They are way too generous with the burritos and tacos . The food is just as amazing as it was when they were called muchas gracias . I was the maintenance manager for the bed and breakfast on State Street a baseball throw from the corner 21st and State. I took Henry Aaron also known as Hank Aaron on a jog after breakfast. Mike and Judy were the owners of the bed and breakfast. We had pancakes eggs sausage bacon orange juice and love from Mike and Judy. Hank wanted to go for a jog and I said follow me. We jogged to Lancaster and back to the bed and breakfast. After his shower, He was now ready to sign autographs at the baseball card show that my good friend Mike the baseball card guy, put together in his backyard next to Mill Creek. On the property where people actually had to pay to come and see the Hank Aaron in the flesh. There was standing room only. There were people swimming in Mill Creek. It was summer time and beautiful . Got some great pictures of the event and the newspaper article with my name in it. I never did get Hanks autograph but I got a hug and a sincere handshake. We talked about everything he could think of on our little jog. I listened to Hank Aaron's life story as we jogged. People watched the two of us jogging back onto the property. I was almost a celebrity just because I jogged with Hank Aaron. People took pictures of us jogging back to the bed and breakfast and followed me around. Asking questions. I said I am not at Liberty to discuss what Hank and I talked about thank you have a nice day stick around for an autograph he'll be out in a little while after his shower. What an amazing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the food and the usually the staff is friendly, unfortunately the young lady (name starts with an F) working last night always seems to be borderline angry with me and doesnāt even shy away from showing distain and frustration with other customers on the dining room floor and the drive thru as well. I understand everyone has bad days and work can be frustrating sometimes, but itās been months since I could remember the first bad encounter Iāve had with her and nothing regarding her attitude has improved between that time and last night. Every time sheās helped me sheās been rude and Iāve even tried ordering faster, tipping her, being extra polite to her, and doing everything I can to not ask for anything other than my food, I even let it slide when she messed up my order ticket a few weeks ago because everyone makes mistakes, but it never spares me from always having a bad experience whenever sheās working. Iāve had enough of her attitude so Iām leaving a review here hoping someone is able to talk to her about this. Hopefully she can understand that not all customers are awful and most of us at least deserve basic human respect and that if she canāt improve her customer service skills, maybe she needs to find a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was my last Carne Asada Burrito from Habaneros! It may have been my last time there for anything. The Carne Asada Burrito was full of rice and beans. Not only are rice and beans rare in a carne asada burrito, they are unheard of in the quantity that was in this burrito. An $8.19 Carne Asada Burrito should have more meat than anything else.
Update: 6/1/21 after the reply from Habaneros I need to point out that they missed that the fact that I said I'd likely never be back when they said that hopefully my next visit will be better. I now say that my $50 a month Habaneros habit has now become $0 a month. When they were Muchas Gracias it was $20-$30 a month. Habanero's must have thought that they could raise prices and cut quality and rake in the money. Unless they literally change, this is the beginning of the end for Habaneros!
Update 7/27 Habaneros deleted their reply to me. It was basically a cut and paste reply saying they use quality ingredients and look forward to my next visit. It did nothing to address my actual complaint. I also now have 3 coworkers who have given up on Habaneros. Same reason, too many rice and beans where they don't belong, especially at high prices. Alberto's is worth the...
