Orionz Island Fusion — Restaurant in Salem

Mannnn where do I even start.. for anyone in the state of Oregon looking for authentic Hawaiian/Island cuisine (grinds) I promise you this is the spot to visit. A certified gem is an understatement. I’ve tried the available Hawaiian spots around here but let me tell you that this spot is Top 1. Wherever you are in Oregon THIS spot is the one that will be worth the drive. The customer service is top tier. When you speak to these guys you can tell they love what they do. Nothing beats a good spot operated through love and passion. Reggae music blasting as soon as you pull in to the parking lot. Immaculate vibes. You really can’t beat it. Not too many outdoor seating but that truly doesn’t matter. It’s the good that gonna get you coming back. First time trying I got the kalbi BBQ combo and it did not disappoint one bit. Honestly not matter what combo plate you choose it’s guaranteed gonna get you wanting to come back again. The kalbi short rib was cooked to perfection. The Mac salad was the best. The rice both white and red is cooked to perfection. The bbq pork belly is out of this world and it’s definitely a must try. Not too many food spots even try to serve pork belly but that’s how you these guys know exactly what they’re doing. Best pork belly in Salem! The portions were perfect and this is coming from someone with with bigger than my stomach. Brother asked me how I found out about them and proceeded to give me a side of red rice and chicken kilowin on the house. These guys are real human beings and I couldn’t be anymore grateful. This spot will become a regular spot for me. I’ve been waiting for a spot like this and it’s pretty much a dream come true that it’s in the city. Grateful for Orions!

I've been driving by this place for weeks, smelling the sweet scent of meats. We finally had a chance to get down there for dinner tonight, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. We walked up to summer jams rocking as the people ahead of us were served. When it was our turn, we were greeted with a smile. The smell of the food already had my mouth watering. The dude that helped us dealt with my inability to make decisions and love of all food and helped me narrow it down quickly. My partner can't handle the sun and so I had to endure 3 whole minutes as we took it home to eat. Y'all the smell saturating the car the whole 5 blocks home didn't allow me to get a picture of the fat serving sizes before I began shoveling it in my mouth (maybe get bigger forks, guys? My only recommendation 😂). We got the BBQ plate, which comes with 2 different meats, their crazy good Mac salad, and plenty of rice, and the spicy ahi poke bowl. Each burp since has allowed me another hint of the decadence that had earlier entered my body. Needless to say, the food did not disappoint. Great job guys. You'll definitely be putting up with me again in the near future.

Edit: sun melt man is gone and I get to have more for me. These guys are angels among men. I wanted a poke bowl, but also the grilled meat smell killed me. Discovering this food cart was the highlight of our day in Salem! We decided to give it a try while passing through, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions at a reasonable price. My husband opted for the steak and pork belly, while I went for the steak and chicken, and both dishes were outstanding. Typically, we travel to Portland or Corvallis for our island food fix, but this place has quickly become our new favorite.
