Half Time Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Salem

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for the last 10 years, and it’s truly one of my favorite places. The food is always consistently delicious, and a big reason for that is Paco, the incredible cook.

Paco has a real gift when it comes to seasoning—every dish is full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and always cooked with care. No matter what I order, it’s consistently spot on. You can tell he puts his heart into every plate. He even brings the food out to the table sometimes, which just shows how much pride he takes in his work.

The service here is just as wonderful. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and on top of everything. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, they treat you like family.

Came here for Monday night .50 cent wings night and wow they were great choice for the price. Updated since my last visit: changed my rating. Called in an order of wings and was told I was asking for to many to go...I had 6 people that wanted to share wings to-go. I tried to order 20 bbq and 20 buffalo. Was told that was too big of an order and that they needed to make sure they had wings to sell to customers for the evening. Strange since last week I ordered 24 wings for just 3 people and had no problem. Thats to bad I really liked there wings...I'll have to stop bragging about how great it is now and stop ordering every week. Strange to not want customers to buy your product......maybe you'll sell them all tonight and maybe you won't. I'd be mad at my staff for turning down an order if it was my business. Especially during these messed up...

I've came into the half time 3 times, and the 3rd will be my last. It has felt uncomfortable everytime, but today was the worst of them all. I entered at around 5pm, walked in and on my way to go to the video poker machines, I was stoped by the wonderful women bartender, that gave off the "your not good enough to be here feeling already," and she said can I help up. I said, oh yes, I was going to the video poker, she said okay, "will can I see your ID," I replied yes, and retrieved the paper copy that I have, that the STATE of OREGON issues to everyone who obtains a new ID/licence, because the permanent one, (that is made in Mexico), is sent to you in the mail within a month after. I Handed it to her, and she immediately said oh, I can't take paper ones, in her snudy demeanor, and handed it back to me. I feel totally embarrassed. Thank you,...
