Little India (Punjabi Dhaba) — Restaurant in Salem

My bf and I came upon this food truck space by accident and we weren’t very hungry so we decided to share chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and a samosa. The spices were spot on! I was asking my bf to rank every dish/snack we had during our travel and he wasn’t very interested in rating everything, but when we had their food he blurted out 10/10 without me asking to rate it 🤣. I am from Nepal and India so I think I can be a good judge of the flavors. Looking back on the previous reviews, it seems like they really listened to their customers and made their food with just the perfect amount of spices. I think it’s always a balance for them to make good Indian food that isn’t too spicy or too bland because you’ll always have customers who want it the opposite way. I love the spice amount in the samosa as well and the mint and tamarind chutneys were great and an authentic experience! The only thing I think they need to work on is the dough portion of the samosa as it needs to be crispier. Don’t get me wrong I love that they made that from scratch rather than just some premade wrappers. I really appreciate that dedication to authenticity! Excellent in all regards! I got the tandoori chicken and my partner got the Paneer Tikka Masala, both spicy, and we shared the naan. It was all great! The chicken was spicy enough that it was almost hard to eat, but had a flavor that kept making me take another bite. Partner is less emotive but says their's was "very good".

It took a bit to be ready, but the dude warned me before I ordered that it would be a while. I knew what I was waiting for lol. Red

We ordered delivery from UberEats and wanted some Indian food. We were not disappointed in the quality and taste of the food we received. We ordered Lamb Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Naan. Each entree comes with basmati rice and we ordered naan for the side. We live about 6 miles away from the truck and when it was delivered and we started eating the food was very freshly made and temperature wise was hot. I appreciated that because we have ordered food from right down the street from us which has been delivered cold to us so it was good to see that not only the food was fresh but delicious.
