Safeway Bakery — Restaurant in Salem

I was in about 2 weeks ago and was having a horrible day. You see it was my son’s 26th birthday and my great grandsons 5 birthday and I was late ordering a cake. I wanted a special cake to celebrate them both. The things I wanted would not be done in time for their birthday the next day. I understood that, my tardiness my fault. Anyhow I was in such a quandary and a gentleman that works there (the manager) was so nice and helpful, after a lengthy chat he told me a story about what his grandmother used to do for him for his birthday. I was so blown away at the novelty of it I did the same thing! Omg the look on my boys face when seeing their cake! So you see I ended up buying a pre-made cake and added their names, took chopsticks and taped pictures to them n added candles. It was such a novel idea and the kids loved it!!
