My hubby and I heard there was a new restaurant in West Salem and we couldn’t wait to try them. They are located in the old Azul’s Taco House. This new place is an adventure for the eyes with so many interesting fun things to discover. It’s a literal salute to pop culture and it’s awesome!!
The owner, who took our order, was so nice and helpful.
The menu is very limited but it appears they have some staple items and then some changing items as well. They also have specials. Everything is homemade, including the salad dressing. Their dill ranch is a little thin but very delicious.
My hubby had the Philosopher sandwich with fries and a drink for $17, which he said was very good. My son had the kid’s pulled pork slider with fries and a drink for $7. He also really liked his meal. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs with their spicy BBQ sauce, the corn salad, and a drink for $20. The ribs were just okay. They were tender but really fatty. The spicy Bbq sauce was good. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the corn salad. I was really excited to try it after reading some of the reviews. But it was just okay. I probably wouldn’t order it again. Because of my food experience, I would give them 4.5 stars but you can’t give 1/2 stars and they were definitely way too good to give them only 4 stars.
I like this place so much, I feel bad that I wasn’t as crazy about my food as my hubby and son were about theirs. But this just means I need to try their other food. The fries were really good and there are other sides to try. Everyone has different tastes. I will definitely give them another try.
There’s also an outdoor patio to enjoy a nice meal in the great weather.

Read moreOwner is nice.. Food is ok.. their special sauce is disgusting.. the atmosphere... well it's dirty! Dusty! And overall gross.. everything is layered with dust and not wiped down especially the window frames with all their weird stuff inside. from the paint on the walls to tables it's overall gross.. let's not talk about the decorations inside, it's like an emo comicon satanic vibe.. this is supposed to be southern food. Looks like some one decided to decorate the inside with Random stuff to their own liking which is cool but definitely don't know how to feel when you walk in. SUPER TINY inside so don't plan on dinning in. Definitely would NOT recommend. I watched 2 ladys come in from the break area up front which is PHILTHY!! Bucket full of cigarettes (keep in mind that's where they store the BBQ'RS and cook) come straight to the kitchen and not wash their hands smelling like tobacco... having a smoking area in the same area as you cook is disgusting.. If you were born in a barn and don't care about cleanliness or how you're food is handled try it lmao I waited over 20 mins for a chicken club when there was only 1 elderly couple in...
Read moreI used to really love this place but I feel like they've gone down hill. I love their Mac and cheese. But with the last 5+ times I've ordered, in person, delivery, sit down etc. They've messed up something. When the food is made correctly and it's a good day, everything is fresh and delicious and deserves 5 stars. The last 4 times they added the peppers and onions even though I asked them not to. The burnt ends aren't what they had been before. They will forget my BBQ sauce. It's so disappointing when it keeps happening. I really love how friendly the staff is and the new menu items they are experimenting with. I want to give local businesses chances to recover, but over the last 6 months where the quality and the food were made correctly. I hope in another 6 months they can make some changes and have better...
