I was very excited to try this place. But it was a total fail. As soon as I walked up I noticed a crowd all over the place. I asked where the line was, a customer pointed where it started. I stood in line for maybe 3 minutes (which was okay because I was reading the menu anyway). I noticed who I assume was the boss having a full blown conversation was someone directly infront me but I did not think much of it until the end. A larger group of people approached and they made their own line. I was a bit confused so I asked another person if they were in line. They said no, at this point the boss having a conversation with the person infront of me tells me to get in the back of the line over there (pointing at the brand new group of people who pulled up). Mind you, the line was huge with this group of people that had just walked up. This whole time I was standing behind this one person who this boss person was talking to and the boss didn't bother helping me. At all. But directs me to the new line when I was there first before that group. I left to a Starbucks instead. I always said Salinas needs more independent coffee shops but after this chaos, I'm so okay with my Starbucks. Such a disorganized place, and...
Read moreI used to love Brewjee when they were just a coffee cart, at the Natividad Hospital . Their brown sugar shaken espresso with cold foam was my absolute favorite! Since they opened their downtown store, the quality has really gone downhill. I've been to the store three times, hoping each time it would match the cart's taste, but it never did. The brown sugar shaken espresso tasted nothing like it should. I kept giving them chances, but it just wasn't the same. Today, I went for the fourth time, excited to try their new cookie butter latte. The lack of a greeting didn't bother me, but the cashier was extremely rude, with a very bland and unwelcoming attitude. When we would go to the Natividad Location the baristas working there were amazing with great energy & welcoming attitude ! I ordered the brown sugar shaken espresso again, and it still wasn’t good—just tasted like a regular latte. I really wish their quality was the same as it was at their old location the at Natividad Hospital. Still wishing them nothing but the best in...
Read moreBrewjee in Salinas is a new hit. My First sip of the Brown Sugar Shaken espresso was deliciously original; I was impressed. It tasted fresh and way better than any other coffee beverage I’ve had in a while. I did add vanilla cold foam and yum! I ordered a large but I should have got a Medium. The L has 3 shots of espresso and whoa! I couldn’t finish it. Still really good though. Brewjee has potential for being a cool hang out spot but I also see the convenience of the pick up a coffee and go current only option. It’s currently next to an alley in downtown Salinas and very small inside which then may lead to a line of customer outside on really busy days. The staff was really friendly and seemingly eager to answer any questions. They sell pastries, whole milk, seasonal gifts(valentines flower arrangement), and Brewjee merchandise (sweaters, beanies). Cruise on over to downtown Salinas and stop by Brewjee for a unique...
