Mr. Noodles — Restaurant in Salinas

Really impressive food.

My wife had chicken pho, which was tasty with plenty of broth and all the fixings.

I had the lemongrass chicken on rice noodles. The chicken was cooked just right and the sauce added to the noodles is just the right about it spice.

My son had vegetable fried rice. He's a little picky at three, so he picked out the bok choy, but I liked it. The rice had a little crisp to it and tasted like comfort food. I'll have it for lunch tomorrow.

We also had the pork spring rolls. The meat was BBQ pork and still hot. I've been to places before that give you cold lunch meat inside. This was definitely not that.

We have been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants across the central valley and into the bay area, and in Orange County. This was among our favorite.

My 4th time here. The waiter has been consistently rude. All 4 times I've seen him, he always looks like a grumpy kid who just dropped his lollipop on the ground. I've never seen him smile. When he brings the food, he almost throws the food on the table, making loud noises. Owner/cashier guy not that friendly and never said thank you.

Food is progressively getting worse. My first visit, food was pretty decent. But now, pho broth is very greasy, bean sprouts are not cleaned well (dead/brown sprouts), and spring roll peanut sauce doesn't even has peanuts on them!

Probably not going back, unless other pho places all close down.

I’ve been coming here for a while now but I should have stopped sooner. The waitress is always extremely rude along with the guy cashier. She always slams the menu down and rolls her eyes (they might be stuck like that I’m not sure…) and huffs and puffs for simply ordering.
