Portobello's on Main — Restaurant in Salinas

My coworkers and I just had lunch. The place is very nice and clean; however, the personnel is very rude. As a vegan, if im going to eat in a place, I have to make sure there's no animal products. I asked about the food and there's this employee, she is fair skin, she had her hair up in a bun, very thing eyebrows, short and heavy woman. She said very rude, "we don't know what's in it. We don't know if it's vegan or vegetarian or whatever." A costumer shouldn't be treated like she did. She has a very rude way of answering questions. I like to come here for lunch at times, food is of good and healthy quality. This last time I went down for lunch it appeared it was a new gal ringing me up... she had very long blue nails and from my angle it looked like her nails touched my food. In my teens I was very lucky to work as a chef, if you worked in this industry you had your nails trimmed and unpainted. If you choose to even clear coat your nails you’d be required to wear gloves. My 3 star is solely based off food. I ordered the 222, eggs scrambled soft, bacon and French toast. Now it's very possible I missed it on the description, but I had ZERO idea they made their French toast with raisin bread or I would never have ordered it. Having to pick at my food for every bite was not the business. Eggs were not soft and my bacon way too hard.

Other than the French toast, the rest isn't enough to keep me from trying something else on the menu. I love the atmosphere, music was overpowering, they have a full bar and it's a great location...
