Connie's Stagecoach — Restaurant in Salisbury

I must say the service was excellent, but the food was terrible. I've read the reviews and don't see any for their seafood. In my opinion they shouldn't be allowed to serve seafood here. We had shrimp, scallops and whole clams. The first thing I noticed was the light color of the batter on everything which is not necessarily a bad indication but in this case it was. It had an indescribable bad taste to it as soon as you put it in your mouth. The shrimp was terrible, the clams that had bellies were really small, and the so called scallops were dreadful. In fact they weren't scallops at all. I don't know what this place thinks but I know scallops and these weren't scallops. This was some kind of fish being passed off as scallops. The only food that tasted good was the fries which of course there was a ton of to make up for the lack of clams. Easily the best diner I have ever been to. My wife and I stopped by twice during a visit to Salisbury Camping. It was consistently quality food. A few sips of the delicious coffee they serve along with a large bacon egg and cheese on a croissant built to perfection with no grease dripping on your plate. I can't ask for better.

This place will give you that good feeling that can only be explained when you are enjoying food clearly made to be indulged.

My only complaint, they don't have more of Connie's Stagecoaches throughout New England.

Guess I'll have to wait until my next adventure to Salisbury to enjoy such perfection.

Great food, great portions, great staff, Connie's has been a staple to Salisbury for many years. In my time, I've seen (25+ years) 3 changes in ownership. The current ownership is remarkable and has kept the integrity of Connie's for the community and travelers coming back year after year. I see some reviews here regarding food quality. I suppose there are always a few folks that may never adapt to the new owners. But I assure you, if something is off with your meal, this staff will make sure you're taken care of.
