Ginger House — Restaurant in Salisbury

I’ve been coming here with my family for YEARS; I’ve gotten take out and dined in. We come in at least 4 to 5 times a month with my son and he loves it. Today we went to get coconut shrimp and rice with broccoli, the food came out mighty quick and when we went to eat the food it was cold. I asked the waitress could I get a new fresh order and she tried to argue me; I then asked for the manger. The owner “lady” came and I spoke with her nicely and let her know my food was cold; I told her as she knows we’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and she and I were neighbors; I didn’t want anything but fresh food. She told me no. She refused to drop 10 silly pieces of shrimp in the deep fryer and at most pop the brocoli in the microwave along with the rice and gave me a new. But no. When I told her I just won’t eat BUT WE WILL STILL PAY and I’ll post about our experience online she then said “oh well I’ll go ahead and make a new plate” I told her no thanks I’m cool. She then got mad and said “ I offered!” It took after the fact that I threatened the expose the hostile environment she and her employee put my family in to then change your toon and make a new plate of food. I’ve been an expo for two major chain restaurants at once and understand the importance of FRESH FOOD per the Health Department. Go here if you’d like a nice atmosphere with the pretty lights and tvs and lounge music but don’t expect much from their cold food and terrible customer service. And I will be reporting the cold food to the health department because serving and then consuming raw meat and certain seafoods is a major lawsuit...

THEY HAVE FAKE REVIEWS! SCROLL THROUGH AND YOU WILL NOTICE MULTIPLE REPEATS! In my 27 years of life I have never left a restaurant because the food was nasty! My food was stale! Me and my boyfriend left our phones in the car to intentionally enjoy dinner without distractions..I wish we didn't so we could've took a picture of our full plates for evidence. The sushi was amazing and so was the drink..the entrees?? Coconut shrimp & egg rolls were NASTY! I ordered Mongolian Beef, I sent it back because it was a stale after taste which was $17. I then ordered the Dragon & Phoenix in replace of it which was $19 intentionally so they know spending money on my food wasn't the problem it was literally the taste. Me and my boyfriend ordered a cocktail each, and an appetizer each & then dinner ..fully prepared to spend at least $100. Once I handed the check to the waiter , I then expressed how dissatisfying the food was. She handed the check back to me & told me to take it up with the manager. I did & the very rude female manager with glasses told me it wasn't her problem & to take it home. Me and my boyfriend tipped the waitress $30 & left. They threatened to call the cops which ended in them calling my phone 30 mins later for another argument. (I left my card, nobody was running). I own a popular black owned business in town & honestly I see why our community doesn't want to spend with there's anymore. I'm convinced they write their own reviews because...

So listen..... Y'all I don't even like Chinese food, but I come here with my husband because I love their tea (pictured below). I'm kind of a disappointment as a date, because all I ordered was an egg roll (I know, I know, but I wanted tacos and they didn't have that! 😂) So I tell my husband I'll try some of his beef and mixed vegetables. Meanwhile, the atmosphere in here feels like you're somewhere else... I don't know where,....but definitely not Salisbury. 🤩 It is tranquil in all the right ways. There was no music at all, so other people can easily evesdrop (in other words, please make your small talk interesting enough for the rest of us, 'cause I don't get out much 😜) Heads-up: egg rolls are apparently served as an appetizer, so come mealtime I looked like a sad lump with nothing in front of me 😩 My husband, the kindest of food-sharers, let me try his meal, and I absolutely hijacked it!!! I was phenomenal! The beef was so tender it didn't even taste like it could be cat. 🤗 Made me a believer, for sure. Five out of five stars. If I could give more stars, I would. Save me a seat. Me and my weird, picky little self...
