Good Fortune Restaurant — Restaurant in Salisbury

Omg-The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing! We walked in on a Thursday at approximately 3:15 pm. There were 5 customers in the place—-3 at the bar and 2 at a table in the restaurant. The waiter brought over a couple of menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for tea and he said we don’t have tea. We got ice water with lemon instead. Minutes later a women came with the 2 waters and I mentioned it was odd not to offer tea at a Chinese restaurant—she said we have tea. A few minutes later the tea came. We ordered a pu pu platter for $29.99. The food was very greasy. Both the beef sticks and the boneless pork strips were so tough you couldn’t cut it with the knife provided nor could you chew with a mouth full of teeth!! The chicken wings had virtually no meat on the bones —fried to a crisp. The fried shrimp was fishy!! In fairness, the egg roll was eatable. No fortune cookies offered. This please is really a bar—not an eating restaurant! We overheard the waiter discussing with another customer that he forgot to charge $3 after they already paid the slip with a credit card. Thank goodness they were not busy—they would never be...

I went to Good Fortune in Salisbury Ma yesterday with my grandparents and was less than impressed. There was a handwritten sign stating that the dinner specials were only available for carryout at dinner time. I asked the less than personable waiter why that was and he said, and I quote, "It's too much work". The waiter never once smiled or asked how our meal was. He asked if we needed anything else. When my grandmother asked for duck sauce he informed us that they charged extra for that. Their beverages were cans of soda and bottles of juice. The food is good and you do get a lot for the money. I would eat the food again but I would not bother to eat it there; I would take it home. They are going to be having karaoke on Thursday nights and club music on Friday nights starting in May. I have no clue where the equipment for that will be set up since it is a small restaurant. I give this restaurant 3 stars because the food is good but the atmosphere and wait...

Every single time I order from them the food is terrific and the portions are enormous. This time I accidentally ordered the wrong chicken and they were kind enough to change it for me. There's another chinese place nearby with terrible food which is always super busy, quite odd to me because Good Fortune has been phenomenal in my experience and the other place has been so disappointing.
