I have been calling Salisbury House of Pizza for four years, the food is below average but the location is ideal. Tonight, Friday, I called unaware of the time, and upon a kind answer I placed my order. When I was hanging up, the gentleman who took my call informed me that “Next time I should take notice of the closing time before I call right prior to closing” . This made me very upset. As a waitress of 25 years I have enjoyed being in the service industry, people often have come in to my restaurant a minute shy before closing and sit for up to two hours and I have cordially waited on them, never making them feel the way that I felt that moment. This is because I understand when people are making an exception to go out to eat, to celebrate, or to order out it’s because they are making an exception from their daily lives and that that break is worthy of being treated with hospitality. What makes me good at my job is that I respect this and when somebody comes in late at night I know they know it’s late and if I treat them with respect they always treat me good. I’ve never experienced this rudeness before. When I expressed my feelings to Louis he was rude and disregarded me, and so I asked to speak with a manager or the owner assuming they would assert that this is not the approach that they take. I spoke with the woman who works the register, she did not tell me her name, but I know her voice very well because I’ve come in many times for pick up . She said that she was the owner of the restaurant. She was not apologetic to me and seemed to be more defensive of her employee as if I had done something wrong by ordering food five minutes before closing time. Again I didn’t even realize was what their closing time was, I was simply ordering takeout. I explained to her that if they didn’t want to deliver food or take orders till 10 that they should probably stop taking orders at 9:30. She was again not apologetic and insisted that she was the owner and that there shouldn’t...
Read moreI am shocked about the unexpected price increase that this restaurant had placed on my order… a $13 increase than what the take out menu, as well as what the menu online stated. My boyfriend had ordered on the phone going by the menu online. When I went to pick it up I figured it was odd that a small pizza, chicken fingers, salad, and two single serve sodas totaled to $57. When the woman was questioned about the price she stated “I know hunny it’s the price of the market right now, the market is very high”. This high of an increase should have been stated over the phone, BEFORE going to the restaurant to pick up. Unfortunately reading the other reviews this is not the first time customers were fooled with a high bill. I will not be coming back to this restaurant after this, could have gotten food at a restaurant for...
Read moreI was having a very good day in the middle of a nice cold February and I decided to order myself a nice little petite lunch from a local small business Salisbury House of Pizza. I decided on a Cheeseburger and to my surprise the delivery driver took a SEVENTEEN DOLLAR TIP then to add on to that it was freezing cold. Colder than the temperature outside so I put it in the microwave for four minutes and it was somewhat warm then I begin indulging in my endeavors demolishing this somewhat warm Cheeseburger. I end up throwing up precisely TWENTY TWO TIMES in multiple places such two different toilets two different trash barrels and a bowl multiple times and was sick for 2 whole days. Therefore I will remain to purchase food from my local small business Salisbury...
