This place needs to be shut down by police. As a former employee, customers don't know what happens behind those kitchen doors. 1: health. NOTHING is sanitary. Servers do not use tongs, don't wash their hands, and touch food. Cooks and servers smoke cigs right over your food. If food is dropped on the ground, it goes right back on your plate. You don't want to know what has touched your food (just think about that every time you taste something a little off). Management pays off the health inspector to not shut them down. Cockroaches are a constant problem (they're always in the salad), and are barely taken care of as they often leave the back kitchen door wide open. Not even licensed "pest control" comes in to "fix" the issue. I got in trouble for saying "there's a bug" in front of other customers. The manager crushed it with his shoe and yelled at me for saying anything. 2: other employees. There are no background checks done on employees, most employees are illegal. Employees use drugs on the clock (I've seen it all) and will work while high (on hard drugs). Employees are paid cash if worked overtime to avoid taxes but not even minimum wage. If an employee is sick, they MUST work no matter what (yeah they're touching your food too). 3: sexual harassment and assault happened ALL THE TIME. Some waitresses have tried to go to law enforcement, but management and the owner pays them off before police are involved. I have been personally touched, groped, made remarks to and management does nothing if not encourage the behavior which has really impacted me to this day. They do not protect their employees. There are regular customers who also feel comfortable making remarks to waitresses and management does not protect their waitresses if they feel uncomfortable. Found live bugs in our food! Opened a pack of crackers dipped it in the soup broth & ate it. Noticed the cracker taste old. Grabbed the cracker package and saw live bugs crawling around inside. Made me sick to my stomach! Called the waitress over & she just said well we're not a corporate place just family owned so she couldn't do anything. She tried bringing more crackers & soup which by this point I couldn't bring myself to eat it. When she noticed we hadn't touched anything she asked "Well, ya'll not going to eat? I'm bringing your main course out, these things happen but our food is good. That was a fresh box of crackers" Then she walked away & came back with the main courses like nothing happened. I couldn't believe it & neither could my husband. We saw a man walking around & asked if he was the manager. He stated he was not but that he was the owner. We explained what had happened. Mind you, we still hadn't touched none of the food (didn't even have silverware to eat with if we wanted to). The owner goes on to say HE WAS AWARE & could only offer us a 10% discount on food we didn't eat! We were so shocked we sat there for about 15 minutes with a table full of untouched food that equaled $30. We did not want to cause a scene & had never had this happen to us before anywhere. First time here went for dinner the place wasn't busy at all me and my fiance ordered a grilled cheese and fries I had the mini meal of open face turkey coleslaw and a salad we got out food fast I didn't even finish my salad before our food came out we didn't see our waitress until after we were done our meal never came to check on us mind u it was just us in that diner which was fine then time to pay she asked how I was paying I said card they charged 2.9 percent for a credit card I paid with my debt card which is like cash I ask her if I was going to get charged for using my debit she said no i get a copy of my receipt I got charged a process fee which I shouldn't have because it wasn't a credit card it was debit she said it goes for debit two I said then there should be a sign that says that because it just says credit card and by law they can't charge you a process fee if you are using debit so if u use debit or credit you will get charged a fee but it's illegal to get charged a process fee when using debit but it's whatever will go back for the food not the service will definitely bring cash because doesn't matter if u use a debit card which is like cash u still get charged for using it even though u shouldn't be but it...
