Bagel Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Salisbury

We've been looking for a "morning bakery"-type place (muffins, bagels, etc) since we bought our house here in August but have only found places that do just cakes and pies. Evidently we weren't looking right, because I found your shop today and when we saw the menu, we were so excited to give it a whirl!

We played it sort of safe this time and ordered a baker's dozen bagels, two tubs of cream cheese (strawberry & honey walnut) a pumpkin roll for the husband and one kid, a chocolate croissant for the other kid, and a SW wrap for Hubs.

We ended up with 15 bagels, not at all in the varieties I'd selected. But they were fresh, soft, and sooo, so good, winning BIG points from this bagel connoisseur. At home, I had a plain bagel with the honey walnut cream cheese, and that more than knocked this review out of the park! Outstanding!! A+++

My husband found his pumpkin roll to be too sweet, so our daughter had both, and it wasn't a loss. Our son found the croissant too sweet, but he ate it anyway, so again, it wasn't a loss. And other than finding that the peppers needing to be cooked a bit more, Hubs thought his wrap was excellent.

All in all, we're thrilled with our Bagel Café experience and are looking forward to trying again. Next time, we'll be more adventurous. I know that crab 🦀 meat is...

I’m from NJ but am in Salisbury nearly every weekend so I know a good bagel when I get one. This place has them! I’ve been in search of a bagel that reminds me of the kind of bagels I had growing up which becoming harder and harder to do so in southern NJ as shops change ownership and recipes change or ingredients change due to cost. That being said, the Bagel Bakery cafe has the absolute best bagel I’ve had in about 30 years. Not even the bagel shops near me in NJ are this perfect in my opinion, well, not without having to drive an hour and a half north to the NYC end of the state anyway. Their bagels taste as good as they look. The bagel skin has the perfect amount of hardness to it that you know if you go with regular butter over a schmear, it’s going to keep the butter in. Oh and when butter melts into it, biting in to the bagel is next to heaven. There is the perfect amount of toppings too. They don’t skimp. I can’t wait to come back next weekend and get more. Next time, I’m getting a dozen and bringing them home. I’m thoroughly impressed.

Also, the croissant and cinnamon roll I had from here over the weekend also deserve honorable mention because they too left me doing a happy food dance while I ate.

HORRIBLE!!!!! I hope my over 20 million views, view this! I had a craving for bagels and this destroyed me ever wanting a bagel again. Toasted the bagels without asking, maybe they were stale? I would have preferred it that way over semi burnt. My husband went in and ordered and did not see this occurring due to some confusion on the part of the employee. I ordered a latte and got a coffee, just plain coffee. Biggest issue here is the price difference between said items. I won’t even start on how expensive it is and no for good reason with such a subpar product. I have to take responsibility for going somewhere near a college campus, that may be the problem. The lack of care and follow-through is more present. Everyone usually gets a one time pass for a bad day…no just no. I regret being set on a bagel and latte. How does one think a coffee is a latte. I won’t be checking back if the service and product are better.
