The food was good, but I was disappointed in everything else. The first problem was the lack of parking and the surface condition of it. My mom is handicapped and needs a walker to get around, so I had a hard time just getting her in the door. Once we got in, we were immediately seated. However, there was a significant delay before our server came to our table the first time. She brought us rolls that were very good. They were warm with just the right texture. As we placed our order, our server seemed unable to answer basic questions. My mom asked if there was mushrooms in any part of her dish because she's allergic. The server said no, but with an uncertain tone, which was kinda scary. Then I asked if I could substitute cheese ravioli for spinach cheese ravioli in my combo platter. Again, she was unsure if she could, but ultimately said she could. I then asked her to make my side salad to go because I knew that I would be too full to eat it. Once our food arrived, she was unsure of which dish was which. My mom and I were both surprised at how little the portions were for our main course. The food itself was good. I had cheese ravioli, manicotti, and lasagna. My daughter had chicken strips and fries. After we were done, our server provided us a check that we could barely read and had no prices on it. I wasn't concerned because I assumed the cashier would know how to ring it up. Well, she did not. After she told us our total, it looked $11 too high. We asked her if she made a mistake. The cashier offered to go over the math again, but was sure that she was correct. We didn't want to cause a scene, so we just paid it. My combo platter, a lasagna, a kids meal, and 2 pops came to $47 before tip! Our receipt wasn't even itemized. When we got home and did the math, we figured out that we were over charged by $10.99! That would be the price of an entire extra meal! To top it all off, they forgot to give me my to-go side salad! So, in summary, I would say that the food is good, the service is below average, and pay close attention...
Read moreYou open the entry door, walk inside and you're greeted with the vocal styling of Frank Sinatra or an artist within his genre. Which gives you a feeling of what it is like to walk into a little Italy restaurant in lower Manhattan. (without all the traffic and big city sounds of course) Smiles abound in each member of the Roma team as you are either seated or put on the list for seating. (there was no wait when we visited) Our drink order was taken as soon as our tuchus hit the faux leather bench seats. (the sugar/tea ratio was spot on in the sweet tea) We arrived only knowing that everything sounded like something we wanted to eat... So... We ordered 7 different pasta/meat/appetizer sort of combinations. Every button in the Oh yeah that's the food spot button was hit with our choices. I did bite my tongue once.... But that isn't their fault.... I was just quickly consuming the chow in order to keep up with my better half. Cheap! Not expensive! Affordable! We recently came back from a southern Florida vacation and we ate out the entire time we were there... On average the meals there ran us over $100.... This meal was half that and we definitely have enough for dinner later tonight. DO THE MATH... 50÷2= 25 DUDE....THAT'S LOW BRO!
Anyhow.... The sugar is wearing off now and impending food coma has started to creep into my extremities so I'll leave you with this.
Eat, drink, and be merry... If you choose not to.... You must be a special...
Read moreCame here for lunch as a section in band around 11:45.Started off okay drinks got there orders were taken with me as a creaser salad with chicken, and then other with orders with salads. Then the start of my "I think we might be late" All side salads got there my pop is drunk (But refiled shortly so that's okay)Then some of the smaller orders are there and my salad is no where to be seen. The bigger and harder orders get there still no salad and really should a salad with Chicken and 'Special" dressing take so long? Then around 12:30-35 the final orders arrive but not mine We realize we're getting late and they eat their meals and FINALY Almost right before we are ready to leave my salad gets there. I had to enable the human vacuum to scarf down what I could so we would not be that late in the end the food times are a little absurd for the quality of said food To add gasoline to this fire the place seemed to me at least Moderately packed a amount of people that would not be that hard to manage with good staff so in the end We were Late I had a empty stomach and we had a bad time. This happened Wednesday not today if that helps add clarity to the issue. If possible an explanation to why all this stuff took so long other than that the food takes long to make because a SALAD Should be easy for trained staff...
