Worst experience I've ever had. Let me preface this by saying I prefer to leave good reviews. Placed an order for delivery at 7:45 PM on a MONDAY night. Delivery time said 45-55 which I consider reasonable. By 9:00 I was on hold with the location trying to get an update on my order. No one even bothered to answer the phone I was just left on hold being told repeatedly by the recording that "a team member would be right with me" I decided to drive to the location thinking that because my delivery window kept being pushed back that maybe they were short drivers. I walked in the door, still on hold for almost a half an hour at this point. No one even bothered to see if I needed to be helped. Not once. I stood there for another 10 minutes watching them not answer any phone calls. In that time another person coming to pick up her take out order came in. She ordered at 7:58 and had a notification her order was ready. No one bothered to help her either. Then a guy came in and the worker behind the counter came up to help him immediately speaking to him in Spanish. I assumed maybe he was door dash or something so I asked and he said no. But the guy behind the counter started getting his pizza. The girl who had come in after me started to try and get his attention at this point and he then proceeded to give her the pizza she ordered. So at this point I'm pretty steamed and I ask what is going on with my pizza, for delivery that I ordered before her order and why no one bothered to answer the phone when I'd been "on hold" for 36 minutes at this point. Starts going on about how they can't stop to take calls because it slows down them making pizza. So I ask if my pizzas are ready and I'll just take them myself, to which he responds, THEY HADN'T EVEN STARTED MAKING IT!!!! I then told them to cancel the order. Seriously the worst food experience I've ever had. I completely understand being short staffed but be courteous and let your customers know what's going on and maybe actually make their food?? Don't bother...
Read moreI have ordered from here often enough. Today might be the last time I do so.
I made an online order. Pretzel twists which come with a marinara sauce. BBQ Chicken which I added some toppings to, and the California Ranch which I did not amend.
It gets here in speedy fashion. The driver was nice, smiling, polite. She goes to leave, I open the pretzel twists because I see no sauce, to see if it is in there, it isn't. I run outside to ask her if she has any sauces in her car, she doesn't. But she offered to drive back to get the sauce. I decline, being environmentally minded, and seeing this as a waste of time as well as gas. Also, my twists will be cold by then. Pizza reheats well, pretzel twists I imagine, do not.
I go back into my building. It is apartments for veterans. I inform the front desk manager, John, that they did not give me sauce, He suggested I call the store. I am not good with confrontation, but I call. Gordon said all he could do was send the driver back out with a sauce. "Really, you can't even just add a sauce to a future order?" Well, yeah, he supposes he could do that. Yay, I get a future free sauce . . . to replace the missing sauce.
John, who says he used to work at a pizza place, was not impressed. So he called. asked to speak to the manager. I hear him say Gordon. He told Gordon that when he worked at a pizza place, he would offer a free medium to compensate and keep a customer happy. Eventually Gordon decided that I could get a free bread item on a future order, but I would need to call it in. John said Gordon sounded annoyed through the length of the call.
I go back to my apartment to eat my pizza (was eating the twists while at the front desk). Here I notice that the olives that I added to my BBQ Chicken were missing.
Really? Sigh. Why do the drivers not carry extra sauces? Why is there no quality control, at least not at this Domino's? So much for...
Read moreNot sure if it's due to understaffing issues or whatever. I highly recommend you call ahead before placing a delivery order. I ordered today, thankfully chose cash on delivery then called ahead to check they gave a 90 minute turnaround time when we live less than 2 miles away.
Just call and check first, this is the 3rd time we had to convert a delivery order into a carryout (also worth mentioning we also tip 20 percent or at least 8 to 10 dollars). We went there tonight to get our carryout after changing from delivery, there were 2 dominoes company vehicles sitting in front of the store.
Either they're perpetually understaffed or employees simply don't feel like running deliveries just be careful with this location
I was told over the phone they were overloaded with deliveries from customers stranded at slc airport flight delays.
I'm sorry that doesn't look too credible when you have 2 delivery vehicles unused gathering snow when we're 2 miles away and airport customers are 10+miles away in distant hotels off the highway.
In conclusion even if you order delivery make sure to call and check first to ensure they are able to carry out the delivery Don't waste the extra time hoping and waiting. We had 25 percent 10 dollar cash tip ready for the driver, but I guess they don't care because that tip dropped to zero changing our order to carry out.
Last but not least; they don't like to tell people if they can't deliver, just simply give you a wait time such as 90 minutes. That's just the restraunt staff trying to discourage you from ordering, but if you hear 1 hour 90 minutes plus wait time, avoid...
