My kids love the big playground. There are a couple of large slides, a modern teeter-totter, swings and monkey bars. There are also large grassy areas. In the summer the surrounding big trees provide good shade. The free standing (non-reservable) picnic tables are nice and there are a few benches for sitting and watching the playground. The large playground is adjacent to a large bowery and tennis courts. There is also a smaller playground in a different area of the park that is adjacent to the little-league baseball fields. It all happens at Riverside Park. Where I am from in California you don't have that.
