The only reason I still eat at the Miller Cafe is because of convenience, however, often I choose to walk to other buildings on campus or order from somewhere else just to avoid eating here. The service is ridiculously slow, as I have waited upwards of 40 minutes for my order, only for it to be incorrect. Even the retail side of the cafe has issues. Oftentimes there is no one at the checkout counter for extended periods of time, making students and other customers wait until a worker happens to notice that they are there. I have had workers make eye contact with me as I've been waiting to checkout, and then turn away and ignore me. The cafe also promises 24/7 service, and as someone who eats dinner at inconsistent times, this was very exciting to me. However, I quickly came to realize that 24/7 actually means that the cafe will close whenever they feel like closing it. I'm not sure how many times I have come to the cafe during hours when it is supposedly open, only for it to be inexplicably closed. Read moreEvery single time I try to order a chicken sandwich, instead of a chicken patty(like is promised) they instead put chicken nuggets, which have a laughable amount of chicken in them, on the sandwich instead of the patty. It’s a complete disappointment. Even when I ask if they have a chicken patty and they say yes, they still put the overcooked chicken nuggets in the sandwich instead, which all fall out the minute you take a bite, leaving you with nothing but bun and tomato. It’s so disappointing every time and it completely ruins my experience. It seems like they just do everything possible to make their sandwiches as cheap as possible, sacrificing taste, texture, and everything that makes a sandwich a sandwich in...
Read moreMiller cafe is located inside a building on the U campus. They have a modern way to order food to make the lines look less busy. You can order on the kiosk or scan a QR code on your phone. They text to let you know your food is ready, which saves time standing around and waiting. There are seats and bar tables to wait and eat. The menu prices are not bad at all, which is good since majority of the customers are students. I had the combo soup and grilled cheese with a side order of fries. While the tomato soup wasn’t my favorite, the fries and grilled cheese were good. There is also a little store attached to the cafe to buy other snacks and drinks. It’s a good place to stop and eat...
