The Local House — Restaurant in Saltillo

We have been numerous times. First for Sunday lunch which has been great. But ordering off the menu is another story. Egg rolls and hush puppies are fried so much they are almost burned and hard to eat. Hamburger steak was too packy. Last trip I ordered grilled chicken thinking surely that would be good. It came out with red powder (Cajun.? Cayenne?) which was spicy. My husbands fish was bland. If our group goes again I will stick to salad bar, which, by the way, is very good. $40 + for less than...

I've been multiple times and I've never gotten anything I haven't loved. At lunch time you can get a plate lunch or order simple from the menu. At night they have different menu options. I highly recommend the steak tips, Catfish or Mahi mahi. We had a party last night of 30 people possibly a tad more. Their service was flawless and food came out quick and delicious.
