Passing through on our road trip and decided to stop here since we’ve eaten at McAlisters often on our trips. Worst service and food experience out of all of the locations we’ve been at.
First, I noticed that everyone (locals) were getting big greetings and farewells upon entering and leaving, not my 2 girls and I. No big deal.
Additionally, the place was fairly empty, about 4 tables total, most of which had their food, except for one. Our bowl of broccoli cheddar and kids mac and cheese took over 15 minutes to bring out... I’m not one to complain about wait times, especially when I can see a place is busy and/or understaffed, but as I mentioned above it was pretty much a ghost town.
Ultimately what did it for me was the food was cold. The mac and cheese was lumpy and the grated cheese on top wouldn’t even melt, it was that cold. We left most of the food there and left pretty dissatisfied. Couldn’t help but feel pretty discriminated against and that doesn’t happen often. What a waste of our time and money, and considering we’ve still got a long drive ahead of us, it’s kind of an inconvenience. (And hopefully we didn’t come in contact with covid on top of it all, considering NO ONE was wearing a mask, not employees or customers).
I’d avoid this place if you’re looking for a decent meal...
Read moreEmployees, Ashley & Jay were great, but the Manager-on-Duty, Nayeli/Naeli, was awful! She has NO business being in charge of anything, or anyone! She was not only rude to Ashley & Jay, right in front of evertone standing in line, but she was SO rude to me when our order needed more attention. She was SO awful, that employees Ashley & Jay, checked on us at our table & apologized to us, on her behalf. Totally unacceptable & I will be reporting this to Corporate! Our meal was $37.00 & our sides (bowls) were only filled halfway. When I took them back to the counter, questioning why, Nayeli/Naeli yelled from the kitchen window to Jay, “That’s how they tell us to do it, so what’s the problem?” He told her I was standing out of her sight but I could hear her & she grabbed our plates from the window, filling them, while ranting & raving, then slammed our plates back in the window. She never apologized or showed one second of kindness. Her hair is dyed bright red & she had pimple patches all over her face. Totally unprofessional & not the face of McAlister’s at all. I have NO clue how in the world people like Ashley and/or Jay are not running the place because they were both much...
Read moreI waited to leave a review because everyone has bad days but this location has given us a poor experience the last 3 times we have been there. There seems to be a ongoing crew problem. Orders take quite a long time to be delivered to the table while eating in, and also for to go orders. Two out of the last three times we've been there there's been an active employee situation unfolding. One time there was a manager outside the bathroom door telling a obviously very ill employee that they were going to have to clock out because it had been 30 minutes that they had been in the bathroom. Another time there was an employee sleeping in a booth while we were there. The last few times the restaurant has not been as clean as visits in prior years. The food has been okay, our orders have been missing items and the service has just not been good. I truly love McAlister's as a general rule, they are a safe bet while traveling for a yummy sandwiches, soups and baked potatoes however this particular location is really suffering right now. I really hope they can get it fixed this is a very convenient location. These issues have affected how often we've chosen McAlister's over other...
