Ordered: 4 x steak and cheese egrolls $6 each (orders come with 2 egg rolls) 1 buffalo chicken egg rolls $6 1 fish only $11 1 fish and shrimp plate with sweet potatos and greens $16 1 gumbo $13 1 strawberry crunch cake $5 1 banana pudding cake $5 Total: about $85 There was only one guy working and he had a pretty big order ahead of us. He was pretty rude though. I get he was busy but customer service goes a long way. I had questions about ingredients and items because we had a diner with allergies and I wanted to know portion size to make sure we got enough food. We wanted to try everything after seeing barnet's online and came from the Walzem/Eisenhauer area. Our order took about 25 minutes, no problem with that. Hot and fresh. Flew straight home and food was still pretty hot when we got there. Eggrolls...looked and tasted like they were wrapped in 2 wrappers for sure, possibly 3. Tough to eat, less room for filling. So really don't know how the filling tasted, so much wrapper. Fish was good but had bones without warning. Shrimp was good. Greens were a lil tough still but flavor was good. Sweet potato/yams were good, probably the best thing we ordered. The gumbo was full of shrimp, sausage, some chicken and crawfish tails, but the smell when I opened it was off putting... I still tasted the broth and it was okay then an after taste. Maybe it was the crawfish, idk. I'm not sure if it was eaten. My boys have iron stomachs so I'm not sure. Now the cakes...smh. you're paying for the cute packaging I guess. They're tiny. About 5" long and 2 1/2" wide and about an inch deep. The flavors were mid, and the banana cake was 1/2 burnt. Wouldn't...

Located on West Ave off i10 E, this hidden gem is a must try. Don't be discouraged by the limited parking as this is a To-go only restaurant. What their serving is the PERFECT late night eats. CHEF "Don't make no sense" Tyree put his heart into every dish. I had the fried chicken plate. I'm picky about my fried chicken. At first glance, well seasoned flour was used. At first bite, the chicken was crispy, juicy, and definitely marinated/brined. The mac & cheese was on point, perfect texture, cheeses were balanced, and the pasta water was salted. The greens were okay. Turkey was used instead of pork, which I appreciated. The greens needed another 25mins of cooking time, but I would get them again. The corn bread would be PERFECT with a honey butter drizzle.
Gumbo, on point, perfect Louisiana flavors, beautiful jumbo shrimp cooked just right, sausage and crawfish. The roux was the perfect color and was definitely managed to prevent scorching.
The Shrimp Alfredo, mercy me. Homemade cream sauce, pasta noodles salted... the size of shrimp made that dish worth every penny.
Kool-aid!!!!!! DO NOT skip it when you order.
And last but not least, dessert! Because every good meal deserves a sweet ending. We tried the banana pudding cake, strawberry shortcake, and the biscof cookie cake.... none of them were overly sweet but balanced and the perfect size, so there's no need to feel guilty.
Highly recommend. Definitely will be a regular. Keep up the amazing service.
Chef Tyree does offer catering services. The tequila bar next door is a cool vibe, we ordered drinks, so they didn't mind us eating...
Read moreTried this place out and I’m glad I stopped by. We ordered catfish and collard greens and Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese is 💣, the collard greens are bitter as they should be and good, the fish was moist and crispy in the outside. I will say I ordered shrimp with my fish and I’m disappointed it did not come with my plate. I got home and my shrimp was missing and I was charged for it. Really bummed about that. My daughter ordered the fettuccine Alfredo it was creamy and yummy she loved that it was cheesy. We also Ordered the steak and cheeese rolls which was a hit everyone of us liked it. Hubby ordered the fried chicken with collard greens and Mac and cheese and loved it all. Ordered banana pudding I wasn’t a fan. It’s more like a banana cake with some whip cream on top I’ll pass on that next time. Parking there’s not a lot of it. But the food is really good. I’ll return I’ll just have to check my bag to make sure all that I ordered is in there. Not leaving with out my shrimp next time. I asked the cashier she said everything was in there. The cashier was nice. She was drinking on the job which I guess she had a modelo. I mean to each it’s own. The food though is good, drinks they had soda and water. She said they are working on Koolaid, I’ll be back. Glad we found this...
