Woodlawn Theatre — Attraction in San Antonio

Just got home from tonight's show. Love the renovations! The acts were all great and we literally laughed for hours. A few notes though. The bathrooms stalls are pretty small. My mom uses a wheelchair because she can't walk a lot. She was able to walk into the stall, but definitely not enough space for the wheelchair itself. The drink prices were pretty cheap. A couple were strong and a couple were not. So a little hit and miss, but still great for the price. I only had one drink when we got there since I was driving, but they did have sodas and water. This place was awesome. Full bar as soon as you walk in, with fast and friendly service. Drink prices are reasonable. Lots of seats, it's a pretty big space with a balcony section. Bathroom was clean, seats weren't bad comfort wise. Sound is booming and lights are cool. Great time tonight at the open house a lot of great up and coming talent. The host ,Cuzin Berto ,was funny and kept the show moving steadily. Place is worth a visit . Only down side was parking was a little bit of a walk but even that wasn't too bad....

For a normal comedian it's probably a good venue but for improv it is not. The stage is up too high and with the lights aimed at the crowd so the improv troupe can see the audience the people on stage are cast in shadows. The microphone headsets were muffled or staticy. So, I could barely understand what they were saying half the time and everyone was standing in the dark on a stage too high...
