Generally, the food is good. My wife decided to bring hone the baked potato topped with brisket. The rundown:
The price was $6,95 for 1 potato topped with brisket, butter, and bbq sauce. The potato was tiny. I can buy a whole bag of HEB Russet potatoes for under $5 The brisket topping was ample due to the small sized potato. The flavor was tasty. I can only say, if you're hungry, you'll remain hungry if all you order is the brisket potato. I can only give 3 because of the potato being tiny.
No photo, but trust me, for a $5.95 tiny brisket topped potato and $6.95 with a tea, it's kind of pricey. Oh, and that's $6.95 before Uncke Sam adds his tax.
The food only got two stars due to the portion size, bust based on taste, I'd give it 4 stars.
If you've ever been to The Little Red Barn, they serve monster bakers with their steaks. Bill Miller needs to use those bakers.
Update 7-26-25
Wife wanted vegetable beef soup, and they had none. I think it's now seasonal ; Fall/ / Winter. She then opted for carne guisada tacos. They co m eveith Pico de Gallo & hot sauce. The condiments are in separate little containers. She uses neither, so I inherited them. The Pico de Gallo is tops, even better than many Mexican food joints. The jot sauce is extremely hot. I li k e b done warn hotsauce, but this hotsauce is extremely hot.
FOOD: Tacos get 4 stars. SERVICE: 5 Stars ATMOSPHERE: 5 Stars
I got a 4 piece fried chicken. It comes with thick cut steak fries and a roll.
The chicken was fresh, crispy, and not too greasy. I give it 5 Stars.
The fries tasted as if they had been sitting awhile. I give them 3. Stars.
The roll was very average. It was edible, but it was starting to harden a tad. I give it 2.75 stars.
Prices were so-so. The 4 piece chicken was around $8.50. For the size of the chicken, portion of fries & a roll, not bad.
The price for a carne guisada tacos with cheese, it's $2.85. I thought that was a little pricey. The size was fair. You're talking $5.70 for 2 tacos . I give...
Read moreFiancee picked up breakfast tacos (sausage/egg/potato. The tacos were stuffed full and not overy greasy. First time I had any breakfast items from this location or any other location. If you are in the area, try the breakfast tacos. Will try again myself and hope they are just as good. Yummy! Filling!
4-27-2021 Busy at around 6 pm. At least 10 in drive-thru. The young lady was using i Pad to take orders. Seems line moves faster than when talking to the menu speaker board. Ought to keep person. Out taking orders all the time. Seems you've upgraded the bins for porboy. Like the bins with the poppy seeds. Plenty of pickles given bit skimpy on onion; enough for 1/2 of sandwich. Plenty of meat. Sauce was good. Fries good. Tea good. Whoever runs this location is awesome. Rating 4.9* out of 5*. 11-25-2023 My wife picked up a brisket plate for me because I was working. The plate comes with sliced brisket, 3 sides, and a tea. My sides were coleslaw, green beans, and fries. All the sides were good.
The problem is with the brisket. I got one slice, and the rest looks like diced brisket. It was picked up around 5 pm. If the restaurant was low on brisket, the person taking order should have informed my wife.
I usually get great service and quality food atvth Iocation. This is a teaching moment for the manager. Employees should serve the food in a manner they would find acceptable if they were ordering.
My photo doesn't show the fries. I still recommend the brisket, as the meat was flavorful and tender. They just need to provide slices and nit the diced.
I had pinto beans as one side; it was good. That choice was not listed in the rewiew section that asked what sides...
Read moreBill Miller BBQ This review is about one individual at Bill Miller BBQ and she gets all the STARS! Arrived at this BBQ place (1604 & IH37) at about 1:10 pm on 4/27/2021. Haven’t been to a Bill Miller Restaurant in a very long time due to their bad food and worse Customer Service. We were greeted very cordially by “Mia”! All through our visit there she was genuinely sweet, professional and she cared. My wife and I looked at each other in amazement. Definitely NOT trained by Bill Miller BBQ Staff. We both agreed great parental training and she took it way up the scale. Superb attitude! The other staff member who was bring up the orders once ready, NOT so much! She was typical of our bad experience at Bill Miller BBQ place. The food; small portions, burnt Brisket ends, tasteless rice and beans. Still and all, it was late lunch time and we were hungry so we decided Bill Miller BBQ. It will be another long-long-long tile before we beckon upon their door. Their food gets a healthy 2 Stars!
