Chole Mexican Restaurant Llc — Restaurant in San Antonio

I’ve been waiting for another Mexican restaurant to open up at this location. Don’t get me wrong, loved the previous place but I definitely crave Mexican more than anything else. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The interior was very cute. I ordered three Gorditas- a bean and cheese, rajas con queso and picadillo. They were huge and very filled. Idk if my family has been holding out on us but they were almost too filled….Is too much food ever a bad thing though? I was also surprised the bean and cheese was with yellow cheese. Not a bad thing, my own preference is with white cheese (like a queso fresco). Still very good though! I made the mistake of waiting too long to eat them (took it to go) and my gordita fell apart. They are more concerned on servicing to go orders,I took the time to park,come inside and order breakfast there was no one inside,one person waiting for his order to go.6 people came in after me and I still haven't received my order,then 20 minutes later the waitress says"oh they're making it right now"we had orders to go".I canceled my order and I told her yes I can see that you all are doing all the to go orders first,the customers coming in to any establishment should come first before to go orders. There is a great Mexican restaurant further down by Walmart next to the nail salon there portions are great and the food is wonderful. My mother who’s elderly and very picky loves this place she says staff is very nice and attentive. I asked if she could bring me two tacos one of nopal con huevo and another of barbacoa. OMG! Nopal was soo good and the corn tortilla was fresh. Barbacoa was sooo full I couldn’t even finish it. The green salsa was the cherry on top. Definitely recommend...
