I am giving the food two stars because it didn’t kill me. Let’s start from the top. I ordered my pizza on a Sunday evening while staying at a local hotel on the Riverwalk. The person who answered did not use the name of the place, they just said “pizzeria” when I called. Fine, no problem. They were then incredibly rude while I was trying to order my food. Not a big deal, I’ve been to places or being rude to customers is their thing, that’s fine. Maybe it’s a weird local quirk. The lady on the other end who needed prompting from me several times to take my credit card told me it would take about one hour to an hour and a half. It is 2 hours and 37 minutes later and I am finally just getting back upstairs after receiving my cold pizza and my Luke warm 2 L of soda. I ate pizza yesterday from another local place, and they went 47 minutes past the time they were supposed to deliver to, but you know what they did? They called me. I guess they like repeat business or something. Weird, right? The driver said, and I quote, “bro I was at a family get together and they called me in. Look at my clothes, ha (he was in a polo) These people are stupid, I’m sorry, bro. Please don’t take it out on me.” he hit me with bro twice, so I suspected he was sincere. I didn’t say anything to the guy prior to that but apparently I looked upset. I don’t know, maybe it’s weird that I expect Pizza to arrive at least warm especially if I’ve waited almost 3 hours for it. The guy didn’t have a thermal delivery box or anything. I say this with sincerity, do yourself a favor and eat a frozen dinner from the hotel shop or a banana, or starve yourself. Literally anything else. In the end, it will be less stressful than dealing with these people. I’ve eaten one slice, and it taste like basic Stonefire bottomed pizza With unmelted cheese. I’m not saying this to be snarky or anything, it interestingly enough the hotel manager was down there with me and said that they would no longer allow their employees in the building to distribute menus. They said that they had not let them do that in a while and someone snuck in to do it. I’m not writing this, I’m sure the owner has their heart and that business sadly they hired nitwits who don’t. I’m writing this because I hope that somebody who staying at one of these hotels downtown, sees this and decides to save themselves the frustration and the stress and eat anywhere else,...
Read moreDo not go to this place. I ordered a surprise bag from Too Good To Go, it was our very first time using the app and so the kids and I were excited. When we arrived at around 9pm an older lady quickly dismissed us and told us someone else would help us. A very annoyed and rude looking young lady took our order and did not offer any suggestions (It was our first time getting a "surprise" bag and we didnt know we just had to order a pizza.) This same young lady, after touching the register went to the back and began preparing dough without washing her hands. After ordering we moved aside and heard the older lady literally yelling at a man that was asking how much longer his order would take. The man kindly asked her not to yell and she kept yelling asking, "La vas a esperar O no?" Basically asking him if he was going to wait for his order or not. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. After seeing how unsanitary the whole place was I decided to cancel my order and after seeing how rude they were not only to me but other people there. As I was cancelling there was literally a roach crawling on the wall near the kitchen. The only person that was not being rude there was the man with the tattoos on his face. I will never order from here again and I will make sure anyone I know won't either. Please do not go there. This place needs to be shut down. The young lady was in PAJAMAS! Trust me, do not waste your time going to this place. If you do order please go pick it up so you can see the conditions in which your food is being prepared and the nasty attitude of the women there. I can't rate the actual food because I didn't...
Read moreI wish I had read the reviews before placing my order. I ordered through Slice where they gave me an estimate of 9:35pm for delivery of my food. 9:25 comes and see my order is on it way to hotel. All good so far until around 9:40 I get a call from a very rude lady saying they have no mushrooms and if I wanted something else instead. I tell her that my app said you guys are on your way. She then says it will still be another hour. What??? I proceed to tell her to cancel the order and she says she can't. I try and clarify the situation with her to make sure I'm understanding things correctly but her abruptness makes it very difficult and I again tell her I want to cancel to which she replies ok and hangs up phone. I notify Slice immediately and they contact the restaurant who informs them that the pizza has been delivered!!! What??? Just to be sure I head to front and ask them and guess what... No pizza. So complete lies. Slice says nothing they can do (1 star for Slice) since pizza has been "delivered" At this point I'm fed up and looking for alternative food places and my wife takes over the good fight. She calls restaurant directly and the rude lady says pizza was delivered at hotel and just hangs up. No refund issued or no attempt to try and rectify the issue in anyway. Unacceptable business practice. Businesses like this should not be around and I hope people reading reviews seriously reconsiders ordering...
