Donut Palace — Restaurant in San Antonio

What a cool place. They have some great kolache options and breakfast sandwhich stuff as well all the fun sweets we love and enjoy. I got an apple fritter and a sausage bacon and cheese kolache on my recent visit. I love apple fritters and how can you go wrong with a kolache like that? It was good and just what I wanted. There were so many choices of kolaches I need to back and try them all. The frosted donuts were vibrant and coloful and awsome looking. Gotta bring my kids next time and let them judge those amazing sweet treat. You can tell somebody made these treats by hand and not some robot assembly line. Very good and tasty as well as the visual appeal. Just check it out. Worth a stop. They also have like 4 coolers full of fun drinks like energy drinks and cold coffee and yoohoo and other goodies. Very cool place. Gonna try and go again tomorrow morning...

I have been coming to Donut Palace since at least 2016. The owners are lovely and the service is always excellent. These are the best donuts I have ever had in my life! When my family comes into town to visit, we always get Donut Palace. Similarly, when I go visit my family, they always ask me to bring several dozen donuts. I have called the store many times with special requests such as the blueberry donuts without the glaze for my mom or to pre-order several dozen donuts so that I don’t wipe out the display cases with my purchase. If you love donuts, kolaches, and pastries (let’s be honest, who doesn’t if you’re reading this review?) this is the place for you! Sure, there’s another donut shop with a wintry name down the street, but it just does not compare at all. Give this place a try you will not forget it…...

The woman who works the evening is very unfriendly. Couldnt even tell me what kind of muffins they had.... I had ordered a smoothie there in the morning (morning staff was more friendly) but when i went back in the evening, the staff had no idea how to make the smoothie and didnt even know they had smoothies... I can understand the first time this happened but i went back AGAIN and the same person STILL didnt know how to make the smoothies....... I also realized after eating one of their kolaches and getting sick that they are just left out all day, ok for donuts but NOT OKAY to leave meat sitting in room...
