El Golfo De Mexico — Restaurant in San Antonio

Lovely atmosphere. All along the walls are paintings of the beach and some of their menu items. I love the electronic juke box, because i rarely see those.

I ordered the number 10 with a small Horchata. They only have two cup sizes, small and large. The small looks more like a medium. I think the Horchata was ok, but I didn't finish it. The food was also ok except I didn't like that they cooked the filet fish in aluminum. Too much butter, good side salad, enjoyed the toasted bread, and nice French fries.

I would return to this restaurant to give them a second try in...

Very unprofessional! Got an order to go, lady messed up on my order twice, then lied about it being in the bag… it wasn’t a language barrier either, they were just too lazy to check to see if order was right.. or didn’t care the least. Overpriced seafood. I got a caldo de pescado and it was very grainy, felt like there was dirt when I would chew down.. quesadillas de beef fajita was super small and cheese on bean and cheese taco wasn’t melted. Wish the reviews on here...

Waste. Of. Money. The good was waaaay beyond bland. Not worth the price since everything fried just tasted like the batter.

They are passing off cheap cuts (not even a properly cut filet) of some white fish as catfish and charging catfish prices for it.

Fries are like cardboard- no seasoning at all and the call a bitter leaf of iceberg lettuce, 1 slice of tomato, 4 slices of raw, white onion and a lime wedge a salad.

First time and last time...
